I've said that for months. That isn't new from me. I've said he should not run in 2028 for like 4 months now.
Conservatism is dead for the time being. The era of centrism and pragmatism will be here a long while.
Vance will be the nominee in 2028, and he will be a good candidate.

Trump ran the most centrist campaign of a Republican in a very long time.
He was not going to pick a hardcore Conservative in any universe, especially one his chief advisor hated with a passion.
Trump made the right choice, easily. Vance was great this cycle. Really impressive. Don Jr pushing for him was very genius.

This. His path to the White House was as Trump's VP and attack dog, which is exactly what Vance is doing now. DeSantis not seeing this and choosing to run against Trump in the primary makes me wonder how politically astute he actually is.
