Mace: Race-based caucuses are not diversity. They are federally-sanctioned segregation.

We introduced a resolution to strip official recognition from every congressional caucus and staff organization built around race, color, ethnicity, or national origin. This includes the Congressional Black Caucus, the Hispanic Caucus, the Asian Pacific American Caucus, and more. No exceptions.
This is discrimination under the guise of "diversity," and it ends now.
We represent all of our constituents, not just the ones who look like us. If you don't agree, you shouldn't be serving in Congress.

Thank you Congresswoman for helping Americans improve their day to day lives!

What "official recognition" do these groups have?
Nothing can really prevent all the black members from gathering and calling themsevles the CBC.

I have always contended that there needs to be a Congressional White Caucus. These race caucuses would ALL go away then.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace's July 23, 2026 resolution would revoke official recognition of race-based caucuses in Congress, which could affect any funding tied to that recognition.
U.S. House of Representatives
Overview of Race-Based Caucuses Funding
Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced a resolution on July 23, 2026, aimed at revoking the official recognition of race-based caucuses in Congress. This resolution has significant implications for funding associated with these caucuses.
Impact of the Resolution
Revocation of Recognition: The resolution directs the Committee on House Administration to strip official recognition from any Congressional Member Organizations or Congressional Staff Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, or national origin.
Funding Consequences: By revoking this recognition, any funding tied to these caucuses could be affected. This means that organizations that rely on federal support may face financial challenges if they are categorized as race-based.
Potentially Affected Organizations
The resolution could impact various caucuses, including:
Caucus Name Focus Area
Congressional Black Caucus Advocacy for Black Americans
Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Advocacy for Asian Pacific Americans
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Advocacy for Hispanic Americans
Congressional Black Maternal Health Caucus Focus on maternal health issues in the Black community
Congressional Caucus on Black Innovation Support for innovation within the Black community
Conclusion
The resolution introduced by Congresswoman Mace seeks to eliminate race-based caucuses in Congress, which could lead to a loss of funding for these organizations. This move is part of a broader effort to address perceived discrimination and promote inclusivity within legislative bodies.

99% of the time I am for such bans (as Mace would have us enact), but this is the one percent that might be a bit too far.
First off, she does not mention that there is a woman's caucus too, I wonder if she belongs.
Second caucuses are not just race based, there are geographic for example "the New Mexico delegation" etc/.
And whites have them too, they just disguise them under specific ethnicities. I bet the Italian-American caucus is over 90 percent white, probably 100 percent white.
Maybe the solution is ban the caucuses but give them no funds, no meeting rooms, no staff?

Honestly, I cannot understand why any caucus would have any public funding, staff, etc.
Its just a group of people in Congress who already have funding and staffs.
What possible justification is there for any of them to have or spend any public monies? I mean any caucus, not just demographically-based ones.

Nancy has done a 180 since losing the SC governor primary.
She is going hard right on every single issue. Take a look at her twitter feed. She used to be a moderate on alot of things.
My guess is she is prepping for some kind of run in 2028.
