3 down votes??? I thought college sports was about winning. Woodward struck out on the football coach, but did well with the other hires that won 6 national championships.....

What a complete load of political spin by little lying Landry

Woodward didn’t do anything but land the best available coach at the time and had full support of all involved.

Little lying Landry could have spelled out the new path forward of “accoutntability” and not fired Woodward but there’s more to the story. More that little lying Landry doesnt want you to know. He wants control and he knows he can control what he has now. Woodward was in a class well above what we have with experience as an AD from contracts, to overall program building to development of facilities. It’s not even close!

Little lying Landry is spinning. Political spin. Cya.

I just hope Rousse is well-grounded and a conventional type of educator. Personally, I don't know anything about him.

This fall, on First Take, Clark attacked Governor Landry for proposing a statue of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on LSU’s campus, calling the idea “ridiculous” and “the first dumb thing [Landry] said this week.” He went further, claiming that Kirk “doesn’t represent the people of Louisiana, doesn’t represent the players and the students at LSU, [and] doesn’t represent the executives that work there.”

Ryan Clark gets a lot of shite on multiple TD boards for all his race baiting nonsense on ESPN....and rightfully so.

But I actually agreed with him on this issue. Charlie Kirk had no Louisiana or LSU ties. The statue proposal was just another attempt from Jeff Landry to make a name for himself nationally ahead of 2028. Pointless attention whoring on the back of LSU....just like his Omar the tiger stunt.

It changed when the legislature and Jindal went for fees and larger student body instead of being state funded. Now it is 25% funded by the state. It's more ghetto because anyone can get it with the right GPA from any low academic standard high school.

LSU has become a laughingstock, an embarrassment, being run like a banana republic

Yup… starting to look like Louisiana again…

He was fired on 3/31/21? Damn. I didn’t realize they let coaches coach a full season after they get canned. (The date is wrong).

Nuss (shouldn’t, BTW).

You’re aware the 3/31 date is wrong right? He was fired in October.

Landry meddled.

He was always unlikely to get my vote, but now that will definitely not happen.

Then how did the "Village Idiot" field the best team in history and the" Best Coach Available" take us down, down, down.

His first team, made up of leftovers, was his best team.
Only 39 of the leftovers, coupled with transfers, won the West, played for the SEC Championship.
As O's Left overs, eligibility expired, so did the "Best Coach available" ability to win games. Embarrassment

Neither did MLK.

Yet I see a shitload of streets named MLK in Louisiana and they celebrate a day in his honor.

yet i dont see any progressives whining about MLK day like they do honoring Kirk.

He (Kelly)had the best transfer class in the country!

Kelly wasn’t hitting the pavement to recruit in a talent rich state and wasn’t putting in the time day to day.
And he hired a bad OC

That is why his results suffered

None of this is Woodward’s fault. Woodward is THE best AD for LSU. It’s not even close

It's not like it wasn't a consideration.

Some of you are so naïve when it comes to political vindictiveness from the left.
