Maybe they got the yea and nay confused. Or they know there is zero accountability for going against the citizens. I imagine these Democrat cities are gonna get the hook up. The Republicans look like fools. And JBE looks more powerful than ever. Starting to think the phone calls and emails didn't matter because the votes went the other way

Jesus. If the people of Louisiana don’t become an active, vocal can visible force within that state to campaign and gold their politicians accountable, that state is truly done. Money and optics get things done in La. waiting for the next election doesn’t do shite there.

Must be nice having the power as the political minority. Proves once again Congress is second rate in the scheme that is government.

This states leadership is a colossal failure. So we just wasted a bunch of taxpayer money for nothing with this veto override session? Not surprised motherfrickers

That speech wasn't a factor. This was set. Looks like White was absent. Would have been a yea vote. Anyone got the tally?

That simply does not work in this state. By all accounts, lawmakers were overwhelmed far beyond anything in the past with calls and pleas by the public heavily in support of legalization of marijuana.

Guess who won out in the end as they seemingly always do? The Sheriff's Association. The bill that would have applied the taxes didn't even get 50% of the vote where a 2/3rds majority would have been required. Then the bill actually legalizing was pulled.

I believe that image I posted is the final tally

68-30 and it looks like 5 people were absent or didn't vote
