Don’t need to make a killing, just a living. You clearly have no idea what it’s like to have an insurance company refuse to pay something for your patient that you deem medically necessary.

If we went to single payer, he’d be the first in line screaming about not making enough money to pay off his medical school student loans.

I have quite a few colleagues who have gone to work for the VA straight out of training and they are having no problems paying their loans. It’s pretty nice to order an MRI and not need a prior authorization.

How about not being able to afford said insurance despite the fact that said insurance already refused to pay for a medical necessity for yourself.

My SO and I paid over $400/month in insurance last year. Despite having all kinds of doctor visits, injuries, medications, and medical bills, you know how much our insurance company actually paid out of everything we were billed? $200. Yes, we paid out $4,800 in insurance premiums AND paid out the nose out of pocket on top of that all to save $200 f&%king dollars! But we had to do that, we had no choice, because not having health insurance IS AGAINST THE F&%KING LAW!

That may have been ok had we qualified for some kind of subsidy or something, but apparently we make just TOO MUCH GODDAMN MONEY being just a little too far north of the poverty line.

So yeah, I kinda DO know what that feels like, and guess what, I want a WHOLE LOT LESS OF IT while you seem to be advocating for "thank you sir, may I have another?"

That’s unfortunate. But HHM said insurance companies don’t make a profit!

No, you are not!

Half my family are teachers and the other half are in healthcare (doctors, NPs, nurses, and accountants for hospitals) You are the first person in health care to say anything good of Medicaid. Meaning, you are a liar. You are not an MD

Amazing what happens when people get access to primary care instead of flooding the ER. But what do I know, I’m only 4 years out of medical school.

Meanwhile in Ak, Medicaid cost my department 50 million which had to be moved over to social services to cover unexpected increases

You do realize hospitals are paid for insured ER visits but not uninsured visits?

What? Hospitals have agreements with the state that reimburse them for uninsured care.

Power move by CMS trying to get them to be a national negotator for drug prices. Something that works very well for the VA. Was a campaign promise of your orange overlord that I actually agreed with. Of course he changed his tune after meeting with big Pharma. Color me shocked.

Only thing more powerful than the health insurance companies is big pharma. Why do you think CVS bought Aetna?

Well that’s settled then. Better tell the state board I’m not actually a doctor.

I would say I could do this all night but pretty pumped for TNF. This halfwit the best y’all got?

There it is, denial is a river in Africa.

And if you are telling the truth about your family that has to be uncomfortable at the holidays when the gang gets together.

Yeah not like Medicare and Medicaid covers everything. It's comical that it's government run healthcare that's struggling to remain solvent yet we still have idiots pushing for complete government takeover.

Wait. You think people with Medicaid go see their PCP instead of going to the ER?

I don't know, but you could demonstrate some knowledge by explaining how you know that access to primary care is responsible.

Clearly bypassed OP and just joined the herd mentality. But I expected nothing less here.
