Every major city in the country tends to have a Dem mayor. It is an urban party because it pushes hard for dependence on the government and people who are on government assistance tend to move toward big cities.

Governor? That is a different issue and hopefully it changes come November. That inbred sloth winning the first time was a confluence of luck for the Dems. The second time was due to an incumbent nearly never losing. (Only two who ran and lost were one who severely fricked up in Roemer and one who only won because the previous governor had been term limited out in Treen who lost to Edwards once he was eligible)

He voted for positions that Trump advocated something like 90% of the time. He did vote to impeach him the second time.....and he figured giving hurricane relief to Americans in Puerto Rico was a good thing.

You take out his "unpardonable" sin of voting to impeach Trump for egging on the Jan. 6 protestors/clowns and he was a reliably Republican/conservative vote.

The governor and every major city is ran by Democrat mayors. We have Cassidy as a Senator which splits that vote. Congress can’t get shite done. We can’t even get R’s to win a Republican ran race. So how are we a red state again?

Maybe ignorance has a lot to do with the political choices many of our citizens make. I mean, if you can't put a sentence together without murdering the English lanuage, maybe you can't rely on intelligence to make an election choice. Run/ran...who cares, huh?

It’s more than that. When you look at the “ who voted “ color map, as far back as Mary Landrieu vs Woody, you will see the Blue areas that remain constant.

Tensas, Madison, one of the Carrol parishes, Orleans, EBR, Caddo, and i think Bienville.

Kind of follows the Ms and Red Rivers. Think about the 1800’s along those same routes.

I think he meant major cities across the country. Those three would be hard pressed to be called a major city!

JBE is one of us says all of south Louisiana. We don't support Northern Louisiana Republican candidates like a Ralph Abraham. Any blame for Louisiana woes is at the feet of the S La electorate. Hasnt been N La governor elected since Roemer in 1988. 35 years now. Ya'll now keep it going with Jeff Landry. Lmao

Outside of the major cities, Louisiana is red. Same with Georgia. High turnout is needed in rural areas.

Any Democrats - even one at a top position is too many.

and they are ALL making the effort to get into that level of corruption, bribery, and selling out the country and selling out free people trying to rob and imprison them.

Not a fan of JBE, but if he was anyplace north of the Ohio River or East of El Paso he would be considered a Republican just based on his pro 2nd Amendment and pro-life stances alone.

I know this board and Trumpkins hate Cassidy for not getting in line to suck Trump off, but from an overall voting record he has been quite conservative.

LA is reliably red. It's just that a good segment of the Republican base are a bunch of idiots overall and the state GOP is essentially a frat boys party.

At it's core, Louisiana is a Long Brothers, populist entitlement state. The people here feel they're "owed" something.

If voters in this state are marshalled and organized, it could be flipped. Bill Clinton won it in 92.

You just need to look at the current mayor and recent local elections to see that BR is far from red.

Or the way the population breaks down. BR will never, ever see a republican mayor (or a white one) ever again.

Saying this over and over doesn't make it true, but keep telling this to yourself if it makes you feel better.
