Per Kristie Noem today. Over 1,000,000 illegals have self deported through CPP.

Trump announces a 4,000,000 deportation goal by end of term. Leaving 16,000,000+ for the next administration. * does not include self-deportation.

Then it's gone up a lot because the last numbers had us on pace to be lower than Biden and those numbers included self deportations I'm pretty sure.

I figured our biggest gains would be in less people coming over, but I hope those numbers are correct.

You have to throw out all old numbers. The game has changed. Biden and the others did not have to fight against an established bureaucracy and liberal activist judges.

If you paid attention self-deportation was always going to be a big component.

You combine the carrot of $1000, a plane ticket and the possibility to reenter with the stick of sitting in AA while waiting to be shipped off and no possibility of legal return.

Some will go as the raids cause anxiety and others will after they are caught instead of going to AA. Even though it isn't a third world shithole prison it isn't very appealing when given an alternative and self-deportation means no long, drawn-out legal challenges or appeals process.

If you were picked up in the parking lot of Home Depot today, would you take the deal or go sit in AA until you are sent wherever?

Oh, so they are going to disappear in a few years after the problem is solved, and the taxpayers won't be paying for these centers for the rest of eternity?

I will gladly use my tax dollars for these facilities instead of using those tax dollars for them to stay here illegally.

Put them out in the middle of the Atchafalaya Basin, there are enough gators and water moccasins to provide a good fortress.

And for what purpose do we need a full time illegal alien detention center and with so many of them? Build a fricking airport

Just shut the frick up and go back under whatever rock you slithered out from under. Lol

Because before they can be processed and shipped back to their sharthole countries, they unfortunately have to be detained here. If they try to escape, you obviously want them to die trying. What better way than being mauled, chewed up and drowned by a gator?

It's the price tag and the long term plan I have an issue with. I'm all about processing them and getting them out quickly, but I don't see why we need multiple ones costing us billions.

We still have gitmo open for example, where we spend over half a billion dollars per year on like 40 people.

This shite always ends up costing way more and rarely seems to go away. I don't want long term prisons, I want quick flights out.

It’s called deterrence. People will self deport.

The average illegal wood rather eat tacos and look at Latina booties in Mexico everyday than live next to alligators

As a means of preventing escape makes more sense. Alligators aren't aggressive towards humans, they generally try to get away unless you threaten them. They'll eat your dog though.

Still, as far as the one in Florida goes, there are still many other dangerous shite out there and I still don't want to step on one. So the escape angle makes more sense.

If the processing times are 15 days on average as someone else said, then it's only 2 weeks at the facility. It doesn't seem all that scary to me.

Hope it works, I think if people just realize they are caught and have no other choice, you'll get the same self deportation because it means quicker times to freedom from an outcome that is unavoidable.

There are still a gagillion people who haven’t self deported yet. Tough sounding names like Alligator Alcatraz, Louisiana Mosquito Mansion, etc together with publicity will make people scared.

Good point.

In addition to the logistics. Joes Build it Back provides funding for housing by law. Trump is using that for detention instead of more costly hotel rooms.

Alabama doesn’t have enough room for its own prisoners. So building a facility for federal detention is something special unless the federal government footing the entire bill. Not sure about the details because just heard about it on this topic.
