My personal preference would be to not be barraged with this attempt to mainstream marginal behavior, but no way am I going to call for censorship.

Consider it poetic license.

How is this any longer a distinction? But for the handful of old people in the sticks who doesn't have cable TV?

Saw a concept once in the Big Brother model: 11 gay guys and 1 straight locked on a house. Object each week is to vote out all the gays guys so the one straight guy remains.
But the catch is: they are all straight, and think they are the only one

Thanks.
I never proof my own writing.
I always have to have someone else do it because my mind will fill in what I think should be there.
BTW: Why aren't you pimpin'?

Here we go again.
No. It tells young impressionable children that homosexuality is normal and an equal alternative to heterosexuality which it isn't.

That the gays are human beings? Why do the people that someone chooses to have sex with bother you so much? Would you shun a friend that only fricked ugly women?

I promised the people who were bitching about me always using the pimp emoticon at the end of my posts that if Auburn beat Alabama I would stop using it so...

You let your kids watch The Bachelor?? So one man making out with multiple women on TV is ok for your kids to watch?

Have heard that joke before, and it would be must see TV for me.
But seriously, who gives a shite if they want to do a gay bachelor show? Don't like it, don't watch it. But let it fail or succeed on its own merits, you know, all capitalist like. I can't stand the "morales through government" wing of the right or the left.

Couldn't agree more. This country started going to hell as soon as those slimy TV execs started playing stuff like The Jeffersons, and then all those uppity negroes decided they wanted to own laundry mats. And they aired it so that our CHILDREN could see these affluent blacks and all of a sudden they wanted to own laundry mats. Liberal television is going to be the death of this country!

And now we've got such brilliantly written TV programs like Modern Family.

quote:Straight Bachelor sends a worse message than gay Bachelor would. Since most people aren't gay, gay Bachelor wouldn't connect with most kids. Straight Bachelor connects on some level with anyone who is straight, and since most people are straight, straight Bachelor and its horrible message has a worse effect on our children than the gay version ever could.
