And, no reasonable Desantis voter is going to no vote for Trump, nor vice versa.

If Trump runs, I'd be surprised if DeSantis isn't a major player in his campaign.

I don't think DeSantis thinks the Left is fricking around.

I worry more about DT's age than I do his electability. Dude's gonna be 77 on election day '24, and whoever the next president is, it's going to be a monumental challenge for them.

Legitimate concern and one of mine as well.

Because the media and left were relentless. I don't disagree Trump stepped on his dick in his tweets plenty, but if we had a more objective media he wouldn't have had to go to war with words.

I am not saying any of it is fair and they will try to play the same game with DeSantis. Look at what they are trying to do to Elon Musk...Trump had a problem with taking the bait every time instead of trying to rise above it. They were never going to give Trump an objective shake. I do think 2024 and beyond will be different because the public is more aware of the MSM bullshite game.

No disagreement from me on this.

However, I felt he had to fight back through anyway he could and because of that got a bad rap. I want our guy to fight back, but I agree he took too much of the bait.

He was only POINTLESSLY divisive to Democrats and pussies like you.

Does anyone really think Trump can avoid that in round 2, though? Trump defending Trump and advocating for Trump is who he is.

If we can align Trump and the interests of the US, then he's the biggest advocate for the US. But that doesn't mean he can stop chasing his tail every time they go after his ego.

Nope I don't. I am just advocating for his right to run and would get my vote should he be the candidate in General.

And calling bullshite on those suggesting they won't vote for him should he be the candidate in the general. Those people don't really understand the threat of the left winning again.

Those people don't give Trump credit for at least following through on campaign issues. I do think he had many flaws and the shut down was the biggest for me.

I think DeSantis is probably smarter than Trump. He won’t be as likely to take the bait. He at least has a filter. The average guy can be as arrogant and as opinionated as we want to be. The president has to have enough sense to sometimes use diplomacy if it will be more beneficial in the long term.

Trump needs to throw his support to DeSantis.

Before the Republican nomination they said the same thing.
He still got nominated. Before his first election they said the same thing. He won. Before his second election they said the same thing, he got even more votes and locked down the republican votes (and should have won if not for obvious corruption). It doesn't surprise me you are saying the same thing again. What you really mean is that the RINOs might not turn a blind eye to the voter corruption, if you please don't run this guy that will spoil our party again.

As someone who doesn't think Trump has a lot more to accomplish (or really can accomplish), my argument for him becomes more of beating back the left's advance than really taking more ground.

I think we need Ron for that, if it's possible at all.
