If you're curious why the right keeps getting there asses kicked at the polls, it's because you guys think Alex Jones is the victim and the families of children who were murdered in a school shooting are the enemies.
As horrible as Sandy Hook was, Alex Jones has a right to say what he believes without being held liable. Right?
But it was ok for Harry Reid to lie about Mitt Romney's tax return so the Messiah of the left, Barrack Hussein Obama, could win an election. Same goes for all the lies from the left politicians and their media propaganda machine about Trump. Time to sue, sue, sue!

Harry made sure he made that lie on the senate floor where he enjoyed immunity.

Yeah, but slapping a billion dollar settlement over it is stupid.

Very telling that some of you are more with how much Alex Jones was fined than what Alex Jones did.
I really don’t care what your mind processes. Maybe you should sue me for a billion dollars if that bothers you enough.

Wrong. Alex Jones isnt just sowing distrust in the government for shits and giggles. Hes doing so because the government has proven that they are willing and capable of doing terrible things and then lying about it more often than not

Sorry something stupid he said bothered you that much. We have bigger problems right now.
Again, not what happened.
Nothing reeks of the (on brand) poliboard delusion more then a "looking back" thread without actually looking back at anything.
Nobody has even bought up a single particular of the trial itself, what exactly are we looking back on? Be specific. Did any of you actually follow any of it?!?! I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

Jones is a classic manipulator.

The monetary judgment in this case is absolutely ludicrous. People who actually are civilly responsible for the deaths of people haven't gotten judgments as large as the one against Jones, who had absolutely nothing to do with the shooting. What part of this don't you understand?

If you think Jones is a classic manipulator you will really enjoy the industry of advertising.

He didn’t personally harass anyone. Other people did. He just talked about shite on a radio show and got persecuted for the action of others.

And nothing smacks of leftist skyscreaming more than defending a judgment for what amounts to hurt feelings that is hundreds of times greater than your average civil judgment for wrongful death. In the world of progressives, offensive speech made by a political pariah is the most serious offense one can commit. You'll crucify Alex Jones for offensive speech but white knight for immigrants and minorities who rape and pillage their own communities.

The red flag for the current banana republic is when Jones got sued and lost to the tune of 1.5 billion dollars for just having the opinion that Sandy Hook was a hoax. It was a slippery slope that everyone refused to talk about.
When I look back on how that was handled; I knew Trump was going to be found guilty.

This country's planted thick with laws from coast to coast--man's laws, not God's--and if you cut them down...d'you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake.”

It's a sign of how gullible you are that you think that's what the trial was about.

What’s it worth? What would’ve been the appropriate sum?
If yoir answer is 0 and you don’t think he should’ve been accountable at all there’s not a single court that’ll agree with you. His appeals are pretty unlikely to get him much relief.
In other words, other than your hurt feelings or “vibes” what are you basing this on? Or is that all?

Not exactly true.
There were dozens of topics here on tPT discussing the AJ charges and trial.
Fact is, AJ having been charged in the first place was a blatant violation of his First Amendment rights. He stated his opinion about a school shooting to his audience of viewers. Was his opinion wrong and foolish? Yep, but he still has a right to blast it out to whoever will listen, right or wrong.
Don't give me any shite about "misleading the public" or "spread of disinformation" either, because I've watched the fricking President of the United States of America on my TV telling me that inflation is not a problem, my southern border is secure, there is no crime problem in America except for white supremacist domestic terrorists like myself, and that his son Hunter is "the smartest person" he knows.... ALL egregious lies, demonstrably.
I watched the entirety of the mainstream media narrative control apparatus tell me the fricking Corrvid mRNA gene manipulation therapy shots were "muh safe and effective!!!1!1!". I watched every major network tell me that Kyle Rittenhouse was guilty of murder for defending himself agains a career criminal loser, a pedophile and a jobless skater swinging a skateboard like a baseball bat. I've watched Faux News say they're "fair and balanced". I watched dozens of current and former see eye A operators/assets tell me that the very real, veracious and authentic Hunter Biden laptop story was "Russian Disinformation". I've watched the entirety of the media and 95% of American politicians lie to me for the better part of a decade about Donald Trump. I watched a highly coordinated and calculated campaign of gaslighting that turned a jobless, violent, drug-addicted womanizer and criminal with an impressive history of criminal convictions that died of a fentanyl overdose while being detained by police, be turned into a saint right before my eyes through lies by the talking box, and the results were entire areas of cities being looted, destroyed and burned to the ground by "mostly peaceful protestors" resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of damages across the country and multiple innocent deaths. I've been told that the J6 demonstrations were an "insurrection" after I watched leftists rioting and burning Washington, D.C. after Trump was elected in 2016, and those rioters were called "protestors".
But we're here talking about how Alex Jones was ordered to pay an impossible sum of monetary recompense for merely stating an arguably crazy theory, a blatant violation of Jones' First and Eighth Amendment rights.
That's where we are. Deeply in trouble and probably to the point that it cannot be rectified through discourse and civil methods. There is an unprecedented and highly orchestrated division in modern America the likes of which a first-world nation has never seen. We are witnessed the fall of the greatest empire in world history.

Are you really getting this worked up because I’m not defending Alex Jones? Pretty pathetic that you care more about his rights than families of school shooting victims.

If you think goofy totally unrelated anecdotes are somehow a valid defense in a courtroom setting, boy oh boy do I have a surprise for you!
