The moon landing argument is silly. However, conspiracy theory is in high demand, and for good reason..
I do think we landed on the moon though. I hope we did. If somehow it comes out that we never did... woahhhhh!!!!
But can't you actually see the flag planted there with telescopes? I guess you could fake those images too...

My guess is that we have, but there are some basic questions that haven't been asked, much less answered satisfactorily,
What could one of those questions be??
I have been associated with the "moon program" in one way or another from 1960 - 1995. I have seen many weird things in my life, and have had to live thru innumerable idiotic "national nightmares" - but not one of those things include whether or not we "went to the moon."
I knew every one of the original Mercury and Gemini astronauts personally (my job revolved around crew training, and the most intensely relevant portion of that concerned docking the Lunar Module with the Command Module after it's liftoff from the moon."
What bothers you most about the concept that we actually accomplished that feat???

Those images are the most convincing.
I guess a counter argument would be that those are just equipment put their by unmanned ROVs and such.

Apologize to your dad before it is too late. He is a far better man than you, just based on that one statement.
You are wrong - and proudly so. Your type are difficult to deal with and so I am not interested in trying to educate you since you have spent 30+ years with your head up your arse.

We didn't have DEI companies acting as contractors to NASA back then
NASA was a pure as a cattle drive in the 1800s back then - not a better bunch of men in the world. IF there was a woman involved anywhere - even with the contractors, it was because they were BETTER than anyone else who was available.
Things started to get haywire in the mid 80s - but before then, you'd want those NASA guys to guard your first born during a riot.

I'd say the majority here are GOP establishment types and they hate any sort of conspiracy theory. They ultimately love and trust their government. They act like the moon landing and shuttles could never be faked...
NASA hasn't been anywhere and it has always been nothing but money laundering.
It is rare that a multi-sentence paragraph has not one statetment that is anywhere close to the truth - and is in no way logical.

fly directly from the earth to the moon, but to do this, we would require a vehicle of such gigantic proportions that it would prove an economic impossibility. It would have to develop sufficient speed to penetrate the atmosphere and overcome the earth’s gravity and, having traveled all the way to the moon, it must still have enough fuel to land safely and make the return trip to earth.
If you read past that portion of the work without tossing it aside then you are the one with no barrier to idiotic statements.
Every allegation in that trope is disproved almost daily if not yearly.

You can see evidence we made it to the moon using telescope photography, how do you account for that?

As soon as one of those assholes who was part of nasa implied we "lost the technology" to go to the moon, it was basically confirmed we never went.
This is an incredibly strange statement for NASA to make and I can’t explain why or how that would be true unless it was taken out of context.

What about this theory: we did go to the moon but we couldn’t film lunar surface video because that would have complicated and endangered the missions so the video and pictures had to be “made in Hollywood”.

Thanks so much for your personal insight.
I'm not bothered at all by the prospect that we could have landed men on the moon. I hope we did.
So many things don't add up, I don't know where to begin. Let me ask you this, does it seem plausible that ALL 700 of the cartons of tapes documenting the moon landings are missing?
Also, NO ONE in the public saw the moon landings live:
"The fact that the tapes are missing (and according to NASA, have been for over three decades), amazingly enough, was not even the most compelling information that the Reuters article had to offer. Also to be found was an explanation of how the alleged Moonwalk tapes that we all know and love were created: “Because NASA’s equipment was not compatible with TV technology of the day, the original transmissions had to be displayed on a monitor and re-shot by a TV camera for broadcast.”
So what we saw then, and what we have seen in all the footage ever released by NASA since then, were not in fact live transmissions. To the contrary, it was footage shot off a television monitor, and a tiny black-and-white monitor at that. That monitor may have been running live footage, I suppose, but it seems far more likely that it was running taped footage. NASA of course has never explained why, even if it were true that the original broadcasts had to be ‘re-shot,’ they never subsequently released any of the actual ‘live’ footage. But I guess that’s a moot point now, what with the tapes having gone missing.
With NASA’s admission of how the original broadcasts were created, it is certainly not hard to imagine how fake Moon landing footage could have been produced."

Seems like most of those things refer only to the 'missing tapes'
I understand that there is plenty of film of almost everything that happened, so you must be referring to some subset of loss. If there has been additional massive losses of magnitudes of film, I'd be alarmed at that, but only at the security that allowed it to happen.
We have brought back physical evidence of material from the moon. We have the combined opinion of millions of people such as myself, who were never ever involved in any sort of 'rehearsal events' or 'coverup of mishaps' or reference to 'shady sources' to confidently state our opinions of actual technical, experimental, computational successes that occurred dating back to slide rule technology days. You have not heard from one of the workers 'in the trench' who put in the 80 hr work weeks and were rewarded very appropriately (meaning only getting out paychecks and keeping our jobs) who will put their reputations behind any of these allegations.
Find one of those 'doubters' and ask what they actually DID during that timeframe.
There are still flat-earthers around who reference garbage 'studies' or 'theories' or 'things that don't make sense to a five yr old' - but vert few people actually believe they are doing anything other than acting a role - getting their reward from the number of 'likes' they receive on the internet (which for some may well be they only source of income).
I have talked directly to the guys who actually performed the job on orbit around the moon. No finer people ever walked the earth. A cover-up of this magnitude is not possible with them, considering the part they would have had to play in it, and the decades of lies they'd have to assert to maintain such a hoax.
I'd bet my life on it any day.

"The technology" = the machines and procedures used to make a Saturn V, a lunar lander, a command module, a bunch of radios and computers for the ship and for Mission Control, and so on. It's not like they mothballed all that crap after the last Apollo mission thinking, "oh, we better save this stuff in case we want to redo the exact same thing we just did to, IDK, prove some knuckle-draggers on the internet wrong."
He didn't mean we'd forgotten how to send things, even people, to the Moon. NASA has done cooler shite since then anyway, and moon landing deniers are scum of the worst sort in my book. Educate yourself.

That is very impressive sir and thank you for chiming in.
Since we are so lucky to have you in this conversation would you mind if I asked you if you spoke to any of them about their Lunar experiences? If so, could you share with us what they told you about it?
There was a LOT going on in the late sixties and early seventies that I remember as a young adult. Little things like WAR and Watergate that the powers that be would have benefitted from using the Moon missions as a distraction, whether they were all real, partially real or something else.
So, not meaning to sidetrack this thread, I am really interested in what they may have told you.
Thank you in advance.
ETA; I see you have already shared more above as I was typing this out. But did you ever speak to any of them that actually landed on the moon?
Thanks again...
