All Covid related treatment is covered by the govt..
This is demonstrably false:

“For a Covid-19 patient whose insurer is not covering cost-sharing the way some are, they might be somewhat worse off than an uninsured person who would be getting help from the government,” said Paul Ginsburg, director of the USC-Brookings Schaeffer Initiative for Health Policy.
There are roughly 28 million uninsured individuals in the U.S., according to Kaiser. Of those, an estimated 670,000 to about 2 million will require hospitalization for coronavirus.

Sorry dude, but I find it extremely dubious that differences in health insurance rates explain the difference in covid19 data between South Korea and the US. If that was the decisive issue, explain why European nations look far more like the US than Korea re the virus?
Especially when you consider this thing is asymptomatic for 30-50% of all cases and you begin spreading it before you even have symptoms if you are symptomatic
It doesn’t even make sense on its face
Why would someone with health insurance stay home, and someone without it go out and spread it?

Apparently, health insurance is like a shield that wraps around your body, preventing you from getting hurt or sick or catching any sort of illness?
Yeah, none of the insurance companies offer PREVENTATIVE health care.
Y'all gripe about Americans having so many co-morbidities but then brush aside what would minimize them.

Those countries have a higher elderly population than us.

Huh? If you have health insurance you are more likely to feel comfortable going back to work than those without it.

Tim Scott, logical and measured. I like what I see! Is he a good senator?

It's got absolutely nothing to do with it.

At the same time, even if all of these steps were taken, some people would still fall through the cracks and remain uninsured. A last-resort mechanism like the PHE Fund to cover COVID-19 hospital bills for these patients is an appropriate and important step to avert hardship, but this fund should not be portrayed as a substitute for comprehensive coverage.

If health insurance prevents comorbidities, why have diabetes, heart disease, and obesity exploded since the 1960s?

Senator Scott was impressive.

That's a strawman. I never said prevents comorbidities. It's an important mitigation tool.
Also, not all health insurance met minimum standards before Obamacare so there's that too.

Barely.
Our median age is 40
In Europe as a whole, median age is 42
South Korea median age is 41

I though they rotated between Republican and Democrats. Why did the Dems get two in a row?
