It’s true that all groups have seen tragic jumps in obesity rates, but I believe the data shows it is more pronounced for African Americans.
This is all besides the point though: I don’t believe type of health systems are some decisive factor in Covid data by country
We have a much lower death rate than the UK for example, despite the UK having an NHS
Germany has the lowest death rate in Europe despite having a system with less govt than France, uk, Italy etc

this hearing is fricking stupid and a complete waste of time.

If they're making $600 a week.... that's a different calculation.

It's also in direct contradiction to Birx's opinion.
Why are two members of the task force at odds, you reckon?
Where has Birx said this publicly?

we have video clips way back in January where Trump was showing concern for COVID19 and the Dims were consumed with Shampeachment.
that is an awkward point for the D's

So, "muh sauces"?
But really, if there's an article from a journalist with sources, i'll take a look, link?

Yeah, I guess the sarcasm didn't make it thru to you.
My point being, if you believe sources about Birx, believe sources about others in the WH.

This really isn't even close to the truth.
If he said the overwhelming majority of those 75 and over recover that would be fair.
I mean 99% recover. That's more than "overwhelming majority".
99.99 percent of those under 60. He should just say that.

Senator Tim Scott was impressive.

President Trump, yesterday: "For the most part, [people] shouldn't want to get tested. There's no reason."
Sen. Alexander, today: “All roads back to work and school go through testing."
LOL

No. You posted for years articles based on anonymous sources and reports. Ugh.

It will be interesting to compare the deaths from previous years to the start of the pandemic in December 2019 through December 2020 and see how many people passed from stroke, heart attack, COPD, etc. I would expect other types of death to remain relatively consistent while deaths from Covid19 are separate and obvious.
I think we will see higher all cause mortality even when accounting for COVID for March-May 2020 than typical from other chronic medical diseases. I have personally seen people refuse to come to the ER for chest pain/etc and people are having heart attacks and strokes at home and not coming in for care because they are scared of COVID.

Hey, could you please take a break from this one and attend to any of the 43 poorly-aged Flynn/Spygate threads you created at the height of your "Got Heeeeeeeeeeeem!" mania?
Your presence is sorely missed.

Senators aren't allowed to say stupid things? That's an odd position to take.
BTW, you have a Special Guest Star credit waiting for you in any of your Flynn & Mueller threads from 2017.
