No she means you should be paying more than the more they pay than everybody else.

So how does that even work though?

If I'm paying 70% in taxes, do I get provided housing/healthcare/food? What about internet?

I made $54,340

=

$38,038 in taxes

I pay ~800 for housing/electricity/water

$800x12 = $9600

so I got $6,702 left for the YEAR

That's food, entertainment, emergency funds, oil changes, internet perhaps?

$6702 / 12 = $558 a MONTH OR $139.50 a week

I guess under this high taxation there is no money left to put in savings? good thing college will be free I suppose? Does anybody know how numbers work?

She's proposing a progressive tax which is exactly what we have now. She just wants several more tiers at the top.

Not a chance. They’ll coach her up on everything she needs to say.

And even if they don’t, there’s a large, brain-dead segment of the population that doesn’t care and eats her crap up with a spoon, anyway.

We asked the Trump campaign to name America’s greatest year, but we haven’t heard back. Other polls have asked Americans whether they prefer the past to the present. In March, Pew asked people whether life was better for people like them 50 years ago — and a majority of Republicans answered yes. Trump supporters were the most emphatic, with 75 percent saying things were better in the mid-1960s.

So you want the rich to pay even more? What happens when it's decided that you make too much? Will you gladly hand over a bigger chunk of your income for the people below you? If so, how much?

Check out what the effective rate was for even the highest earners was back then: hint, it's about what it is now.

And a few things have changed in the 1960's. Capital is much more mobile, among many other things.

She worked as a bartender like 3 years ago.

The hypocritical thing about it is that her bartending job was in Manhattan, even thought she lived in the Bronx.

Why wouldn't she simply tend bar in the Bronx rather than make the commute to Manhattan? Right- the money (which I think is admirable by the way), but how can she act in such a manner, and then discourage others to do the same. Hypocrite.

Oh.. and one other thing. Her ideology has caused the deaths of 100 million + people.

Those same tax rates were in effect well into the late 1970's. Why aren't those seen as golden years as well?

Well, there is a marked increase in single parent households and out of wedlock childbirth in minorities from the 60s onwards.

Would you say that whatever rule change happened to cause this was a “good rule change” or a “bad rule change”

Inquiring minds would like to know

Sheet no.. I have ambitions son, I'm trying to make 100k+ a year on the low side

I'm scared that when I finally get old enough when I start making real $$ that taxes will be so high that it'll be practically worthless
