I suspect that you are correct.

So you’re claiming that Blacks are refused service at the DMV or vital statistics offices?

I think “lack the opportunity” for blacks to get an ID is pretty strong. I missed that. There are plenty of opportunities.

Do you really believe that, Hank?

Dead people do not need an ID for anything, and they still vote multiple times under various aliases.

This theoretical person that cannot get a photo ID, but shows up to vote, despite all other poor life choices...has anyone been able to produce evidence of these unicorns?

If they exist, can we just get them photo IDs at no cost to them? Would that be acceptable?

Thanks for putting this list together, if you copied and pasted thanks also..

I did copy and paste it, but the idea came from me watching a Tucker Carlson episode a few nights ago and he rattled off a list of things blacks can’t do without an ID.

Bull.

You need an ID to get a job and to sign up for government benefits.

If you don't do either of those things, how do you even exist? Gotta have either money or EBT to buy food.

So how do they function without ID’s?
on the margins.

And why do you think so lowly of them to suppose they are incapable of doing what whites and other minorities can do?
I do not. I simply acknowledge that Blacks are statistically less-likely to have a government ID. If you norm for economics, it is entirely possible that they are no less likely than very poor Whites or Latinos. I have not seen any data, one way or the other.

Why do you set the bar so low for blacks?
I set no bars. I just accept the realities of the numbers.

Good Lord, you are clearly bright enough to understand that the proposition is NOT that NO Blacks can obtain a government ID, but rather that a larger percentage of Blacks than Whites lack the opportunity to do so.

So why don’t democrats push to make getting an ID easier for blacks so they can have access to everything on the list? Seems pretty racist to hold them back from everything and focus on getting their votes.

Good point.

If it was about access to IDs, Democrats would be going door to door, helping people get ID cards.

What it’s actually about, is making it easier to stuff the ballot box with fraudulent votes.

Yet the same poor blacks can find a way to get to any location where the government is handing out freebies. How is that?

Horse shite counselor. Elections are held once every TWO YEARS and Presidents are elected every FOUR. No way you can sell that in 2021 , in that period of time, an American citizen of voting age cannot get ID if he cares to.

Don't even try it because you and I both know you'd be FOS if you do.

It’s hard for me to fathom how anybody in America in 2021 cannot have an ID. How would you get government assistance, a stimulus check, a doctors appointment?

This is all about voter fraud. Nothing else.

Well, I have absolutely no idea WTF you are, so I cannot say that the feeling is mutual. But you do seem to be rather close-minded, based upon this one post. I am sure that you are comfortable with that, which is a bit sad.

There's a clear distinction between being unable to secure an ID and not caring enough to do so. It's just not a measurable hardship. We're talking what, the cost of bus fare and $40ish for the ID itself? In Louisiana, to be appointed a public defender by the court, the person must pay a $40 application fee. Same basic scenario in the vast majority of states. If that's not deemed to be unduly burdensome for the revered "right to counsel regardless of ability to pay" then why would it be different in this case?

What the combined efforts from all of these new laws will be is the end of militant, community, based, ballot-harvesting.

They will find a new means to cheat and steal as they always do but this is fast becoming a dead horse.

Cell phone cameras ended the GWB era practice of firing up all the church busses and going around the state voting 10 times over.

Voting is a States right and uncle Marc filed his GA lawsuit in Federal court. He smahht...
