Neither Murkowski nor Romney has ever said they would vote "Yea" for Trump's nominee. Let's keep the powder dry, my friend.

I don’t care if they just abstain. Just don’t vote against.

How fricking retarded would you have to be as a Republican Senator to not take advantage of the opportunity to put a conservative justice on the bench.

I knew she would cave. This is only about her preservation, and everybody knows it.

Collins is probably being allowed to hold out just in case she miraculously wins in Maine.

I think Turtle is giving Collins political cover. She stood up and did the right thing on the Kavanaugh vote and she is now in a battle for her seat in no small part to that.

Would Trump still have this if that guy in Arizona wins and is sworn in before the vote?

Collins remains only GOPer to say no

Making calls to the home office and checking her internal polling data on the issue no doubt.

Since her vote is completely f*cking MEANINGLESS, she must have gotten PERMISSION from her leader Diane Feinstein.

She will vote yes. Not even at all worried about her. It’s great how nice this is coming together. Way easier than I thought it would.

Mitch probably told Collins she can vote no or at least vote present since he already has this locked up

She sees Sarah Palin coming to primary her in 2022.

Alaska is a Republican state. She had no chance of winning if she didn't vote for Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett.

She would probably still lose against Palin even if she votes yes this time but voting yes is her only hope.

“I know everybody wants to ask the question, ‘Will you confirm the nominee?’” the Alaska Republican said Tuesday. “We don’t have a nominee yet. You and I don’t know who that is. And so I can’t confirm whether or not I can confirm a nominee when I don’t know who the nominee is.”

This is actually the correct answer to the question. You should only confirm the nominee you believe will execute the law per the requirements in the Constitution.
