Sen. Lisa Murkowski clarified this week that she would not rule out voting on President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court.

“I know everybody wants to ask the question, ‘Will you confirm the nominee?’” the Alaska Republican said Tuesday. “We don’t have a nominee yet. You and I don’t know who that is. And so I can’t confirm whether or not I can confirm a nominee when I don’t know who the nominee is.”

Only need a 50 vote threshold for Pence to break the tie.

Collins is probably being allowed to hold out just in case she miraculously wins in Maine.

Everyone else is being told to STFD and STFU.

Mitch McConnell is shite on a lot of things, but one thing he isn't shite on is judges.

He has leverage over pretty much every GOP senator, and is going to use it to get this nominee installed.

Most of the time he uses his leverage for bad things, but not this time.

the final confirmation vote of record will not be about fairness or precedent....it's about whether or not Barrett will be a competent associate justice.

Translation: The nominee will be confirmed with or without me and I have no f*cking leverage, AND since my next election is in only two years, I will vote to confirm (or not vote at all) strictly for political points so I don't get defeated in my next election.

Neither Murkowski nor Romney has ever said they would vote "Yea" for Trump's nominee. Let's keep the powder dry, my friend.

I think both sides hate her equally now.

Idk if Alaska GOP has any viable candidates other than maybe Palin. It's been awhile since shes been in office so idk how well she would do.

The two races out here to watch are Dan Sullivan vs Dr. Al Gross (Senate) & don young vs. Alyse Galvin (House).

Both opponents are running as "independents", but are heavily funded by democrats outside of the State. Both were nominated through the Alaska Democratic primaries.

Will be interesting to see how those two races turn out. I feel confident Sullivan will win, but Don Young might have more of a fight this time around with Galvin (she was within 5% of him) the last election.
