Didn't read, but downvoted.

Saudi govt murdered a Saudi citizen in the Saudi embassy in Turkey. Sounds like a whole lot of “not our problem” to me. No worse than China, North Korea, Iran, or a handful of other countries that prosecute or execute political dissidents. Why does the US govt have to concern themselves with the fate of a foreign citizen killed on foreign soil?

Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.
Really, is this one frick reporter, a foreigner, killed in a foreign embassy, within a foreign nation, really worth a damn to anyone other than the anti-Trump establishment/msm/left?
Please tell me why I should care anymore about this than I do about any other foreigners killed on foreign soil?

Lindsey Graham is absolutely correct.

Like someone else said before this is none of our business.
He is not a citizen, he did not work for the federal government, and was killed outside of US soil.

Nice sentiment.
Someone tell me the last time the USA went to war, or completely trashed a major international relationship, over government actors killing one of its own citizens on its own soil?
Trump is actually being the sober pragmatist that people have been screaming for and he's getting pilloried for not lashing out based on emotion and optics.

China kills journalists all the time and we've never done anything about it.

Graham’’s interview with McCallum
I understand the pushback on my post and usually I agree when it comes to staying out of this type of stuff,
However, I think Lindsey is right on this one for the reasons he points out.
ETA- I know nothing about this website. I just found the interview and linked it.

So let’s take a guess which alter you are...

So if we are supposed to be outraged about a Saudi Citizen being executed outside the United States here is a legit question: Should we get more or less pissed off at a country that used their intelligence apparatus to intervene and work with a political party against the desires of the citizens of the United States and then want to cover it up? Isn’t this much more important than the execution of the International Spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood?

I don’t think Lindsey’s point is about the killing , but instead the optics.
The Saudi Prince is making us look like fools. Despite the evidence, we seem to be in denial about his involvement. The Saudi’s are putting us in a very difficult spot and they shouldn’t be doing this at the expense of our image.
Trump has to sit his arse down and explain how this works. There is a better way from a public perception standpoint to handle this situation.
Kashogi is not my concern, however, the Saudi Prince rubbing our nose in it and making the US look impotent does seem to set the stage for future setups.

Yet, China gets a free pass because they make useless crap for Walmart? Lindsey Graham is grandstanding. If killing journalists is so terrible, let's endal relations with China and "not accept this as just the way things are." I'm sure that's reasonable.

Trump , Pompeo, Mattis are all disgracing the US and the exceptionalism that we have stood for. By letting MBS slide we will become complicit in organized murder. Shame on our Administeatuon.

What the frick does America have to do with this? Screw getting involved in this situation. Nothing in it for us.

In my view, this isn’t about the murder.
It’s about the US being so invested in the Prince as a reformer and touting our new found friendship as something special with regard the future of our two nations as allies.
Trump and Graham both have praised the prince publicly.
He then turns around and pulls this garbage.
It’s not about the murder. It’s about aligning ourselves so enthusiastically with a political figure that completely disrespected the relationship.
Had this administration not been so public about the new found hope for Saudi because of the Prince’s leadership, then none of this matters.

Let me know when they're as outraged about Seth Rich (an American) being murdered on US soil.

The brutality of this murder is beyond my sharing it with you. It was one of the most brutal acts one could imagine, and it says a lot about him as a person, and everybody is watching us."
on Pompeo and Mattis denying that MBS was complicit so as not to risk American arm sales to Saudi Arabia:
"Secretary Pompeo and Mattis are following the lead of the president, there's not a smoking gun theres a smoking saw. You have to be willfully blind not to come to the conclusion that this was organized and orchestrated by people under the command of MBS ... It is zero chance, ZERO, that this happened in such an organized fashion without the Crown Prince."
Lindsay Graham has more balls than Medina Don :
" I'm not going to destroy the world economy and I'm not going to destroy our country by being foolish with Saudi Arabia"- Medina Don
The so called world's most powerful man sounds like the Saudis b***ch. Openly wetting himself publicly in fear of angering the Saudis.
