Nobody is seriously trying to commit suicide by jumping from a second-story window.
She had a knife; she had already cut her wrists. If she were really trying, she could have easily cut her wrists severely enough to bleed out within a few minutes. No need to jump from the window if she were really trying.

Prosecution says there blood smeared on the window sill like she was hanging on. So possibly was trying to lower herself to a safe height to drop down and make it look like she jumped. Bloody wrists and she slipped.
If you are trying to off yourself you slice your wrist and it's over in minutes. If you are doing it from a 2nd floor , you take a header.
Supposedly she was a caring mother, so something snapped and made her plan this out the way she did.
So what if she goes into mental hospital and then 1-2 yrs later she gets the all clear?

Have faith . . there are women out there that want to see her hanging from the nearest tree . . insanity pleas, hormonal or whatever are a poor excuse for letting her off the hook. Any woman who supports a mother who kills her own flesh and blood, places no value on human life.
