For those of us who care about such things.
My apologies for triggering The tolerant Left this early in the day.
Commence opioid/obesity/death fantasies comments now.

You mean the league that refused to give him a chance to buy the Rams and told him to GTFO?

Yeah, I'm sure he'll have good insight

Wow, you are more ignorant than I thought.

1. He never said it. The media printed a total lie.

2. He did not flee the hurricane. Electric power loss = no broadcast because he broadcasts out of his home. So, he had to fly to another studio where power was available.

Don't you feel really stupid?

I miss Old School Liberals. They knew how to repeat professional lies with a sense of humor. Now they are so humorless and angry. Scary, unhinged bunny-boiling people. Just the mention of a name sends them into a hate- rage.

I hope you are listening. You might, at the very least, gain some insight into how normals feel. Very profound and very sad. Rush is basically saying a eulogy for a friend today.

He also has a fairly large staff that produces his show, once evacuation was declared they were not allowed access to his studios, only homeowners were allowed in to where Rush lives which is essentially a island with one bridge in and out.

I heard that. And I thought I was obsessed with going to Starbucks every morning for 15 years.

Yeah, Rush is a super fan. Some of the owners are among his closest friends, not to mention a lot of players over the years. He is clearly sad, and understanding correctly that this is an irreparable schism.

I also think he's coming at it from the same way I am, which is not only sadness about the inherent destructiveness of Progressivism on American traditions, principles, ideals and Institutions, but just a sadness about how narcissism is elevated far above gratitude in American life. It's really a display of narcissism that many of can't reconcile with our own personal values. Watching a game somehow became a celebration of everything we hate.

I agree with almost all of your post, except for the part where Rush has any value

But do you think it was productive or good for the country for Trump to reignite a largely dormant and dried up controversy?

Trump just has to keep framing it as symbolism that the flag represents...freedoms that our troops have died for and the police protect and allow the left to take the opposite position by default. Make the left defend evil.

So, what did he say about how Tomlin handled it?

Yes, highly productive. I think we agitate the agitators and once the fuse is lit, hand the Progs the bomb and watch them rage about it until it explodes them into bits and parts. Now "normals" have endless proof that Progs hate the flag, will shame America abroad, and are willing to destroy one our most beloved Institution. I'd say that in 2017, exposing Progressives for who they are, is his primary domestic duty.

Now listen to Rush. It's a great show today.
