It’s non-binding arbitration. Who cares if it exists when, if you don’t like the outcome, you can ignore it and go to “normal” court?

It is only a matter of time. This is just the beginning.

Well, you get 91 DVs because reality is the true enemy. Truly sad how ignorant, stupid and/or downright mean-spirited so many have become. SMH

Faith-based arbitration is private dispute resolution where parties agree to use a religiously affiliated arbitrator to settle a disagreement by applying the principles and doctrines of a specific religion. Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, etc religions have used it for decades. Some churches and synagogue require it as a condition of membership.
Contrary to what has been claimed here faith-based arbitration, like all arbitration, must follow Federal and State law.

quote:I know YET ANOTHER Muslim just committed violence against an innocent American (which is totally fine under sharia) but let's get back to quibbling over the semantics of how sharia is practiced amongst Muslims
If I posted a lie it should be easy for you to point out
Guys! Guys! Stop saying they have a sharia court! It's misinformation! You might hurt someone's feelings

You still don't get it. The Muslims could not care less about western law. They care about sharia. They are only following western law until the don't have to and can make everyone else follow sharia

In Texas there is a law that makes it a 5 year felony to represent yourself as a legal official to coerce a senior citizen into surrendering a valued possession. With Texas DPS assistance, I was able to shutdown an out of control HOA president. Does the HOA have more or less clout than a Sharia court. In every dispute, there is a loser. If the loser feels coerced and over 65, does that set up the Imman for a 5 year jail term. If that's the case Sharia courts are a paper tiger

You still don't get it. There are 2 billion Muslims in a world. It is delusional to pretend they are all the same.

I spent 2 weeks in Lahore Pakistan in 93, and the only law was the gun. Every shop keeper very visibly carried. The locals biggest irritation was the vast number of doped up Afghanis passed out in parks and other public places.
Call to prayer did occur 5 times a day
Kipling did write a story about a boy named Kim that was perched on a cannon. I touched the cannon.
Totally sick societies cannot be fixed by Islam. Thats why they leave to go west. If only they would leave the hate behind

quote:Again, it's not unrelated. I'll explain it again. Under sharia law, which Muslims practice amongst themselves, they are allowed to commit acts that are illegal and unconstitutional. The CO case proved this. He was acting in accordance with sharia by enslaving that woman. You childishly arguing that there aren't "sharia courts" in Irving is idiotic and any halfway rational person would know that

quote:You still don't get it. The "peaceful" Muslims are irrelevant to this conversation because the conservative Muslims kill the peaceful Muslims ALL THE TIME all over the world. The "modern" Muslims are in the same boat as the infidels - guilty of shirk. How can you be so naive about this?
There are 2 billion Muslims in a world. It is delusional to pretend they are all the same
So you think you have some sort of "Muslim detector" that enables you to sort out the conservative Muslims and the modern Muslims?

If it is not mandatory and not legally binding, is it a “court?”

Are you against all faith-based arbitration (Jewish, Christian, Sikh, etc.) or just Muslim?
This issue with Muslim sharia law in the US is that some of the "disputes" they "arbitrate" are 1. Forced on one party to participate in the Muslim court, 2. For act.that are criminal.in nature and unreported to law enforcement. These are not disputed of blowing lawn clippings into the others lawns.
