In all honesty there are some huge differences here:

1) The fires in California were basically preventable had the state and local government not restricted controlled burns, allowed the water to flow from Northern California and not taken a reservoir off line during a drought. The flooding in Texas was a true natural disaster that shocked everyone at 4AM in the morning.
2) The State and Local leadership where there immediately and not on some boondoggle in Africa wasting tax payer dollars.
3) Lastly, you may have thought “you get what you vote for”. I had those thoughts but felt horrible for the victims of the fire. However, we did not rage post on X for all too see that you basically hate people that don’t agree with your political beliefs.
