Yeah there are too many states that just have their state symbol on a blue flag. Louisiana’s early flags, while very cool; look very communist nowadays.

It's more than a little ridiculous. I had to actually take out loans to attend App State because I did the family a disservice by dropping out of UA.

It really is. Says something that it's stood the test of time, despite it's negative connotations. I attribute that to its design. It's just a cool looking flag with a bold design. People gravitate to that.

Awful flag.
You shouldn’t have the name of your state on the flag. Only words on a flag should be laconic. Preferably in something like Latin.
