Hope you find it. I consider myself a dem centrist and love having a place like this to get push back and hear what others are saying. Helps keep me balanced honestly.
The only problem is 80% of the posters on here are absolute trash (which will be true for the left board you find too). But the 20% who aren’t, you’ll learn from and gain real insight, which is the main reason I’m still here (that and I’m a diehard LSU football fan). You’ll completely disagree w them in terms of views and ideology but you’ll also pick up a lot of nuggets of wisdom and understanding. You might even find small spots in policy that you agree with them. Personal exapmple, I agree that you should need an ID to vote. Not a huge issue but something I’m on the other side of the aisle about.
The other thing it does is it helps you figure out what actually matters and what’s just for the birds. A lot of times you’ll see a post on here like “BREAKING: HRC has a 7th unsecured beeper” which will end up being link to infowars, gateway pundit, breitbart, etc. and it’ll get 50 upvotes. What I mean is, if you only read it here you’d think it was actually a big deal. Go out in the real world or to the other side, nobody gives a shite, might not even get mentioned. If there are a bunch of threads about the same topic on the other side of people melting (ding ding ding) you’re on to something w legs and worth paying attention to.
All of that is true for dem boards too. It’s pretty amazing how similar the masses behave in this respect. They post “huge” stories or “big deals” where people are SO SURE this is the time Trump gets impeached, come on here, zero fricks. Might not even be posted about.
My point is, there’s a lot of value in finding smart people you disagree with, I wish everyone would take the time to do it and not subscribe exclusively to the likes of Fox or CNN. Doesn’t do anyone any good only hearing what you want to hear. Good luck in your search.

Yeah I’ve never seen that. I’ve seen inflammatory stuff or people make direct threats at people get bounced but never seen this board not respect someone’s views enough to leave them up and not get banned. Some other places will bounce you just because they don’t like that you’re MAGA or something.

I play a game daily called News You Can’t Use. Basically at 10AM and 3PM I pull up both Fox and CNN. I compare what stories are mutually published on the first page.
I then assume that’s the actual news. The rest is just biased exhaust fumes.
If you think they both are fair and balanced, wrong. CNN clearly hides the stories critical to Dems, specifically Obama. Fox underlines anything with Obama.
An example is the Justice Review News from today. CNN omits any word from the Obama Administration. Fox leads with Obama Administration being reprimanded. They both skew the news heavily and hide things they protect for political points.

If anything, the mods are much more lenient than previously. Hell, I got banned for continuing to use the term "religion of peace" mockingly towards Islam after being warned about it by some a-hole mod.
