I keep seeing these statements that the players/owners/sports reporters are "destroying ____ (fill in blank with the sport).
Are they? Advertisers are still there, people are still buying tickets (prior to COVID), merchandise sales are still bringing them millions. Most people that I know even if they say they are "boycotting" still watch. So, I am not sure that it is really having an impact at least not enough for them to care.

I'm just one guy so my impact is low. I'm not the type of guy that enjoy seeing Marxist displays on basketball courts or baseball mounds.

That’s still to be determined. Despite being sports starved for five months I have had zero interest in watching MLB or NBA now that they’ve started back. All this stuff over the last two months may have been a jump the shark moment for these leagues. This isn’t one or two or 10 guys doing their thing. It’s league leadership going woke. I don’t think this benefits these leagues.

The ironic part is, the players, many who couldn’t make a living any other way but sports, are helping to doom their own sports.
Pro sports has been such a given commercial success for so long, that many have forgotten the tenuous foundations that it's built upon.
Take away the games and the fan interest...boom. It collapses upon itself.
So many players think that being paid millions of dollars for playing a game is some sort of status quo. They feel like they're entitled to their profession and their money. When the reality is that their livelihoods are no more secure than a telegram operator's was in 1907.
Except in this case, it's not the telegraph being replaced by something better. It's the telegram operators telling all their customers "Hmm. I disagree with this message that you're sending to your friend. I'm going to rewrite it. By the way, that'll be 25 cents."

The only TV I even watch is Tucker and football. I'm about to cut the cord and just catch Tucker's monologue on YouTube.

OP nailed it. It’s funny that they are cheerleading for their own demise. I plan on trolling these idiots mercilessly as they naively hand the Revolutionary Mob the rope.

Brains = nerds
Brawn = studs
And people always seem to end up following the nerds
System overload of course for exceptions of OMB dragon bloodline

And the MAGAtards are melting and sky screaming about it.
The irony is rich.
Additionally, even if the athletes are ‘stupid’ and useless, their representation isn’t. The people who own the franchises are not. The media covering the franchises / athletes / sports are not.
The virus is real and legal liability is real. That’s all this is.
Plenty of players want to play.

Yep. That has long been the Left’s end game

It is a risky proposition either way for the backup to see the field.
On one hand, you get a Wally Pipp who gets replaced by Lou Gehrig and never gives up the spot.
On the other hand, you have teams who lose a player to injury or holdout only to realize exactly how important they are to your success. Emmett Smith did one such holdout in the mid-90s and got paid.
IMHO, LSU learned how good Matt Mauck was by having Marcus Randall take over for him in 2002 and lose nearly every game except the Bluegrass Miracle game.

I’m not watching pro sports at all. I hope there is enough of us doing this that they will notice. If we can get noticed, you know the left wingers will pull the racist card and maybe it will become a bigger story and we can start a movement of our own

I’m not watching pro or college sports at this point because I don’t have the time in addition to all the other bullshite.
Thanks to us being in phase 1.25 in LA, my hours to be able to do normal errands are fricked to hell and back.

That is EXACTLY why they are doing this. Strong athletic men....bad.

The complete sellout of black Americans to the Democrat party did this. They are destroying an avenue for success that is dominated by black people. It truly makes no sense.
