I was in The Corps myself, and even the most basic fighting training would have taken care of the situation. Step on Keltner's right foot, low block on his right arm, pop him on the head with your pistol. He would have gone down like a sack of rocks, nobody would have been killed. Dolloff had the perfect opportunity to do that.
Better yet though, grab your charge, and back away from the situation.

My estimate would place it about 125 to 150 meters (roughly) from Greek Theater entrance/exit to place of shooting. Keltner and his party did not move directly to their vehicles. They lingered on the south side of the 14th Avenue West to gather together before they continued on. That is where Jeremiah Elliot and Newman and Dolloff are all pictured near him.
All coincidence, I know.

Here is his technique when guarding his client

I agree.
I wonder if the prosection will do well in pointing that out.
There's a point where Dolloff made the decision that he was going to fire, and it was well before the trigger was pulled.
Obviously, as I've said, I think the decision was made right after he recovered from the hit to his head, and as soon as he touched that shirt, there was only one ending.
It won't be popular, but part of me feels bad for the guy if he received formal training.

Sure looks like surveillance rather than doing news work. Almost like they want to stay in touch with one particular individual.

It looked like Dolloff was behind Newman when this started.
He did at least meet the threat.

No one wants to admit it but.... Seems like Dolloff Arms LLC has an issue.
It failed to maintain good standing, so its shareholders will be individually liable for its debts. Our boy Dolloff is likely the only shareholder, and he would already be liable for his own actions, so how is this a matter of any great import?

Or that the news man moved back to give him a clear shot. But yeah, what the hell.

It is of no import Hank. None whatsoever. Nothing to rend a garment over.

If he did, the experts are going to rip him apart, if he didn't, the lawyers are going to rip him apart, using experts, and highlighting why he had no business considering himself qualified for that kind of work. That he had a G.I Joe fantasy.
Maybe, when you have a tricked out gun like that, you are afraid to womp somebody in the head with it, and mess up your cool gadgets.

quote:In fairness, how many business entities run a SecState search on everyone with whom they do business? As long as they sent the 1099s to the corporation and did. not hear from the IRS, why would Pinkerton care whether Dolloff became individually liable for the corporate debts?
Is this really who Pinkerton is saying they subbed through? This dude's dormant LLC?

But we can see that he sure practiced close quarter draw, aim and shoot techniques
I think that was about the extent of it. Stuff he could do at home on his own. Taking the shot he did, with a bystander directly behind his target, violates the most basic gun safety rules.

I genuinely don’t care. Fair enough?

I don't see that.

Trust me, I would be shocked if you did.

I'm wondering how they ended up subbing work to someone who didn't have proper qualifications to do the work.

Oh no.
Did I eat the pill?

Bingo.

Academically, it may be a marginally interesting question.
But I have run my own business for more than 20 years. In that time I have NEVER ONCE run a SecState search to determine whether someone’s franchise taxes were current.
Why? Because it does not affect me in the slightest.
