Everything I have seen says that you can concealed carry in Colorado if licensed, and Dolloff has been confirmed to have been fully-licensed.
quote:The City of Denver DOES seem to ban OPEN carry. LINK
Concealed carry is legal in Colorado for residents with a Colorado permit to carry a concealed weapon (CCW) and non-residents with a CCW permit from a state that Colorado honors. CCW permits can be issued to any resident at least 21 years old and not prohibited by law from possessing a firearm.

Not any longer. The antifag took care of that sadly.

Less so in the criminal case, IMO.
Right, which is why I'd constantly remind jurors about his training and his weapon paralleled with his actions. That, to me, shows that he was more interested in using his weapon than providing security.

With a self-defense claim, Keltner will be on trial, too.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but in Denver you CANNOT conceal carry regardless if you have a license or not. So regardless, Dolloff is in violation of that. This guy is toast and deserves everything coming to him.
Why do they offer permits then?

The nutball menace who instigated #denvershooting and was subject of @denverpost photographer Helen Richardson's Mob Glamour Shots now wants people to give him money for a "safety fund."
Can't make this shizzle up.
POS started a GoFundMe claiming his life is in danger.

The law is very vague in Denver and I should have elaborated on my original post. Back in May, there was a anti lockdown protest in which one of the people gathering there was arrested for conceal carrying and he had a permit.
Where the law gets vague in Denver is that you are not allowed to conceal carry a gun that can hold fifteen or more rounds.
quote:
The state of Colorado does not ban assault rifles, but the city of Denver bans all assault weapons. Large capacity magazines (LCMs) are restricted to fifteen rounds.
I’m no gun expert but I’m assuming that Dolloffs custom glock held more than that. It doesn’t matter if he had 15 rounds in it or only one. It’s the capacity.
Furthermore after looking into the article more it states that Colorado is not a “stand your ground state either”. I know they are a “Make My Day”
quote:
However, there is no “stand your ground” law in Colorado, so anyone who feels threatened outside of his or her home must attempt to retreat first and may only use deadly force as a last resort.

Looked like a 19 with factory mags. Can't be positive, but if that's correct, we're looking at 15 rounds.

1.3 Stand Your Ground law
Colorado follows “Stand Your Ground” law. This law allows you to defend yourself without retreating from a fight, first. It allows people to use reasonable and appropriate force – including deadly force – without withdrawing.3
Unlike Colorado’s “Make My Day” law, Stand Your Ground applies outside the home, as well.
Example: The driver of a car is trying to run Robert over. Robert pulls out his gun and shoots the driver without trying to get out of the way.4
Stand Your Ground can be a defense for people who are trespassing on someone else’s property. However, it only allows trespassers to use self-defense against unlawful force.5 Because property owners can lawfully use force against a trespasser, there are some situations where trespassers cannot claim self-defense.

Colorado Supreme Court reaffirms self-defense right to ‘stand your ground’
quote:
DENVER–In a June 29 ruling the Colorado Supreme Court threw out the conviction of a woman who stabbed a man in the neck during an altercation and ordered a new trial due to prosecutorial misconduct, as well as reaffirmed Colorado’s “no duty to retreat” rule, which, as Justice Hood wrote in the state high court’s decision, “permits non-aggressors to stand their ground when acting in self-defense.”

But the fact that he was carrying concealed will be brought up by the defense.

quote:Thank you for that summary and link. Your summary seems to be largely consistent with the linked article, with one important exception. You say that “in Denver ... you are not allowed to conceal carry a gun that can hold fifteen or more rounds.”. The article says that LCMs are allowed “up to” fifteen founds.
ColoradoTiger1987
If the article is accurate and if Dolloff’s weapon had a maximum capacity of fifteen rounds (and no more), Denver ordinances would NOT have prevented concealed carry of that weapon.

Just wow. @9news put #denvershooting instigator Jeremiah Elliott on its airwaves tonight so he could pimp his Antifa-supported @gofundme, allowed him to evade q's about his interactions w/media last Saturday & painted him as the victim.
