Sorry Powerman, that was not directed at you, just the subject in general. People wanting to blame LeBron, the school.....but not the parents.

Their kids were given an awesome opportunity, uniforms, food, tutors, extended hours, smaller classrooms, and they squandered it.

I agree with this as well. And ironically, since they are being graded against the curve, they increased the hurdle they had to be measured against by helping the other schools get rid of the low performers.

Not from Hillary Clinton's pov: "It takes a village...". Truth be told Transnational Progressive Ideology intends to "raise" ALL children, and indoctrinate them with the DEI narrative. The Elites believe that such must happen, as the traditional competition and warfare that determines societal culture will soon not only be obsolete, but suicidal given the massive Technological leap which is coming.

Many people cannot handle Freedom, and their personal freedom (to raise their own kids) must be sacrificed for their own good and that of the greater society. Lest those people go down with the greater society. The problem is determining which people lose freedom, and implementing a criterion which is 'fair'. It used to be that if one commits a crime, one loses their freedom; albeit now crime is blamed on the basic systematic injustice of the/a Capitalistic (competitive) system wherein all people are not born with the same genetic abilities and/or cultural advantages. "Life's lottery", as it were in the Progressive POV.

The current and volatile political dynamic is based on the above scenario, as those who are too ignorant, misguided, subjectively persuaded by Marxist Egalitarian ideology, or just downright egotistical and resistant to any outside rule become a serious societal problem. If not an existential threat to societal cohesion, security, systematic functionality and prosperity.

They say that one "can lead a horse to water, but one can't make it drink". If this is true, then the horse is on its own, and Mother Nature will determine the outcome. Both Mother Nature and God are very discriminating. I don't think we can handle this complex and powerful conundrum, minus help from 'Above'.

Lord come quickly.

(Edit to add italicized 'threat').

I'm watching the video and they're saying it selected from the bottom 25% in the area. Which isn't known for success. There is a reason why Burrow mentioned the area in his Heisman speech and why people donated a lot of money to the food banks in the area.

I started a thread about a failing charter network in Louisiana circumventing a local school board to expand in that parish and people made excuses for the failing schools because they teach kids with dyslexia. It was started by a wealthy white lady so it gets a pass here.

Credit for trying but really? “I promise” is a ‘tarded name for a school.

Basically a school where they are given everything without having to earn anything. That is a recipe for failure in life. It's one thing to provide some initial help, but you can't repeatedly give, give, give.

Are you saying that it's just impossible to educate this group effectively?

Inside the school it seems they were given everything we hear teachers & parents clamor about for kids to have a chance.

‘Muh resources’ & caring teachers.

COVID didn’t help but sped up the inevitable outcome.

All these decades of teachers and school systems claiming they don’t have enough money and resources is bunk.

The problem primarily starts at home.

This thread is a classic example of the poliboard just straight up losing the plot.

You can dislike LeBron without actively rooting against poor kids. Hope that helps.

Let’s see here….

Has next to unlimited money
Hired the personnel
Has oversight
Has name recognition

Yet still fails. Do you people ever get tired of defending your side? Notice you’re always having to do it?

No dawg, illegal gmails were allowed bro
No dawg, Russiagate was real bro
No dawg, I’m part of a party of thieves, incessant liars and perverts bro
No dawg, that “unhoused migrant” only touched that little girl once bro leave him alone bro

Your delusional side should look into a discounted Seppuku because you guys are straight dumbfricks and I actually like you personally bc you have a non-black soul.

What does that have to do with actively rooting against poor kids because you don’t like a basketball player?

You telling me throwing money at something without addressing underlying causes doesn't work? Well frick me, that is news to me. He should double down on his contribution. Look I don't have much in common with the man and politically we are probably different ,and I don't doubt his heart was in the right place. What he has to understand is that if you don't change the home environment nothing will change. Also, honestly most of these kids are low IQ. Some of that can be overcome with a proper home life ,but it can only help so much.

School was set up for failure, Majority BD kids with learning disabilities is not a good base… Especially with most of those kids coming from broken homes…
