Well, he's white.

So, it's not a good idea to evoke any kind of privilege these days...

Of course. Trump (His Lawyers) could also challenge the 'appearance of conflict'/ bias of Meuller/His Investigation. That would cause a Judge to view said evidence of potential bias; much of the which is already public information.

That isn't accurate. You can always stop and claim your 5th Amendment right. What you can't do is a Louis Lerner and say you are invoking your 5th Amendment right first and then continue anyway to give one sided testimony - that waives your previously invoked right.

No. Executive Privilege doesn't apply to criminal investigations.

But he claim he performed his Constitutional rights under Article 2.

Did you fire Mr Comey?
Yes.
Why?
Because it’s in my authority.

Did you want the investigation stopped?
Yes.
Why?
Because it’s in my authority. Just like DACA under Obama. I’m also thinking of ordering DOJ to defer any prosecutions involving MUh Russia. And you are Fired too, Mueller.

How can you fire me?
Article 2. Get out.

This is not a criminal investigation.
He can claim executive privilege on any question he wants. Mueller can then fight him in the courts, or let it stand.

He can take 5th anytime he wants, but this would be politically a disaster.

Finally as the Chief Executive and Mueller’s boss he can tell him that a question is not germane, and that would almost certainly set up a court fight. Example, “Mr. Pesident is your wife good in bed?” This is my favorite question since I am clueless on the answer! I’m reasonable sure that there was no collusion or obstruction by Trump. Jury is still out on Obama administration.

He's not the target (as far as we know) but Mueller's investigation is a criminal investigation.

The investigations in Congress are different.

I think that would be a bad idea. He doesn't need to testify, because there's nothing there for them to find.

However, if he goes up there and essentially pleads the fifth or uses exec privilege, every one will use it as ammo that he has something to hide.
