Laura Ingraham vs. LeBron and Durant "feud" is still going....

She's got in their head. She has now invited Bron on the show. $500 that he won't come on and use something about race why he won't....

Stupid that this is a controversy in the first place. LeBron said what he said and Laura called him on it. Is LeBron not a big boy? Can he not handle it?

I'm a Cavs fan, LeBron is my favorite player and was going to his basketball games before he was even a household name in high school.
That being said, I had no idea about this LeBron and Durant video or whatever until Laura's diatribe and I only see it mentioned as it relates to her.
So for someone who wants them to shut up, she sure give the thing she wants them to shut up about a lot more exposure.
But even though I don't particularly like LeBron's statements, why do people care so much when celebrities express their opinion and insist they shut up? Criticizing the views is completely understand, but it always seem hypocritical to express an opinion that someone shouldn't express an opinion.

I know Durant responded and mentioned race, and other players (D-Wade, Jaylen Brown, etc.) have stories about their criticisms it from a quick Google search. But I don't see anything other than a "I won't shut up" from LeBron.
So I'm not sure why the criticism is all about LeBron's when Durant and a slew of other players seems to have said much more about it.

On a related note, I have to hand it to Laura here. She clearly was searching for attention. Obviously she getsgood ratings because of the Network, but she trailed Lawrence O'Donnell in the key 25-54 demo, so going after players in a sport popular with that demographic is a good ratings ploy.

It's all kind of like ridiculous, and all sides are acting like a bunch of snowflakes.

Regardless, it all seems hypocritical. Anyone who says a celebrity should just shut up and not express his/her opinion is expressing an opinion. Opinions are largely worthless anyways, but I just can't understand how one can think it's logical to express an opinion that one can't express an opinion.

Its a non-story really, just stupid bickering, but there are a lot of people calling Laura Ingraham racist for calling him out.
