Just so everyone understands, Laura said "shut up and dribble" because it was a play on words based on a book she wrote on the entertainment industry named "Shut Up and Sing" 15 years ago.

I don't think Laura'a comments were intentionally racist, but there is a history in this country of white people telling blacks to know their place in society and not speak up. The word "uppity" comes to mind.
But Laura has a history of saying similar to those she disagrees with politically, so the racist angle doesn't hold much water. She'd have some credibility if she'd say the same to Ted Nugent, Chuck Norris, or any of the other celebrities Fox News has no problem bringing on to espouse their political views.

I didn't see a race angle but I agree that the whole "celebrities should keep their political opinions to themselves" is asinine and completely falls along party lines. If Lebron were talking about "BUILD THE WALL" Laura Ingraham wouldn't give a shite about telling him to shut up.

The reason, they both knew that Dem's and Rep's bought their products. By speaking out they would have alienated half of their fan base and thus their pocket book.
Lebron might be the best player of all time, but he is no where near Jordan from a "brand" standpoint and never will be.

My point was I don't think Laura is racist, and I don't think she made the comment simply because Lebron is black. Maybe she knew the historical connotations with the comment and was intentionally trolling knowing she'd get accusations of racism. Maybe she didn't. Who knows.

We should only listen to Laura Ingraham for hot political opinions. It's not weird at all she hasn't called out Steve Kerr or Pop.
