Once they're outside the bunkers, they're outside the bunkers...

Six drones in one night from a single platform. In a world of high tech, our beloved 50cal still has a place.
quote:

Sky Sentinel AI turrets are already working over Kharkiv, and now Kyiv looks next.

One frame shows a jet-powered Geran being intercepted, a target moving fast enough to make manual gunnery nearly useless.

The system doesn’t flinch. Sensor pod, stabilized mount, thermal view, firing abort logic. It just waits and kills.

A punt gun is dumb steel that needs a man on the roof every night. The firing abort logic and the thermal track are the whole point here, so one operator covers a grid of towers and the gun never blinks at 3am.
quote:

The gun is the cheap part. A Geran-2 costs 50k, a Geran-4 up to 150k, and Ukraine drops Shaheds for about 10k a kill. Swapping a barrel beats trading a tower for a drone every night.

Eight straight quarters of falling steel consumption. Since the start of 2024, it's down 31%.

In Q1 2026, 8. 5 million tons.

That's per Severstal's own data.

The entire country is mobilized for war production, and the civilian economy is still vanishing. Construction is grinding to a halt. Manufacturing too. Sanctions plus a war economy produce exactly these results.

This is exactly correct. There's a reason that Russia isn't telling the rest of the world exactly what pathogen is loose in Irkusk. If it were regular plague, then it would be in their best interest to simply say so.

I don’t know if I buy this. Competent leadership would do both: quarantine and prophylactic antibiotics.

The OP is solely focused on the attempt by the Trump family to purchase a major Russian oil company. The price was to be offered at (highly) distressed levels. In turn for this, Trump would drop sanctions on that company, thus allowing that newly-purchased oil company to become a legal conduit for Russian oil sales.

A number of entities are negotiating to buy Lukoil's international assets, NOT refineries in Russia

Try harder you are ignorant AF, and dumbed down further but social media posts.

Lots of Lukoil gas stations in NJ and elsewhere. Over 20 years ago, Lukoil negotiated to build an import terminal near Belle Chasse like it had in NJ. It has holdings in nations other than Russia. Being in distress makes it easier to buy those at a discount.

When Trump said diesel refineries, it once again showed is ignorance. While every drop of feedstock helps, tight shale is more expensive to refine than other sources of feedstock. Trump has never seemed to understand this.

I don't follow Platts so much. Distillation columns are rather simple. Modern gasoline is a blend of naphtha, reformate, alkylate and isomerate with additives and fuel oxygenators such as ethanol, and TAME ever since tetra ethyl lead was banned decade ago. MTBE is verboten these days.

So it if fitting that you would jump all over a social media post made out of ignorance.
