This will be Ukraine, assuming there is a Ukraine left at the end of the war.
The next war will be a bunch of Chinese and Indian "Russians" vs African "Ukrainians"

The Roman Empire was always ethnically diverse from the very moment it expanded beyond Rome. It had to be... There weren't enough "Romans" to occupy all of that territory. Implying racial diversity was responsible for the "Fall of Rome" is historically ignorant. There's evidence that the spread of Christianity was a big factor in the collapse of the Empire, which is funny because people seem to think Rome fell when they stopped being Christians, when that's actually the reverse of what happened.

Correct, but they weren't importing those people into Rome itself. They were an asset because they stayed where they were. Rome allowed many of them to more or less do what they wanted as long as they paid taxes. Eventually you'd see some diversity in the legions as well, and eventually I believe even generals based on merit.
I guess in a way it is similar, Russia and Ukraine wont have enough people to wage war anytime soon

It also should be noted that in general the guy on defense can do well with fewer guys; thus helping Ukraine.
However, having fewer guys could severely impact their ability to get their land back militarily.

If this happens it will be huge.

Ukrainian firm STETMAN plans to launch its first test satellite this fall as part of an EW-resistant military network at 550 km orbit. The constellation will grow to 120 satellites via SpaceX from 2027 with up to 50,000 terminals for Ukraine's military to reduce Starlink dependence.

Russia’s oil producers reduced the pace of drilling in 2025 to the lowest level in three years, dimming the outlook for output growth this year as Western sanctions and a strong ruble undercut revenue.

After reaching record rates in the first months of 2025, activity started to slow in June and slumped about 16% in December from a year earlier, the data show.

(Reuters) - Russian crude shipments in January made up the smallest portion of India's oil imports since late 2022, according to data from industry sources, while Middle Eastern supplies rose to their highest share over the same period.

As discussed before, these bonds are Repo in name only. Forced buyers send the local tax revenue to Moscow but never get the chance to sell these bonds back, as a true repurchase bond requires.
As they are not Repo bonds, liquidity gets killed. It's just extortion.

Here's the effect of all of these 'Repo' sales. Ru Treasury accounts bounce on issuance, the money is sent to the Chinese, then another 'Repo' holdup. Critically, as Istrebin notes, the all-important liquidity is flatlined.

The only thing growing is the massive Repo-generated debt. Note the start of 2026, appropriately colored red. They may need a bigger chart -

The main trading partner for Ru crude and weapons supply are the Chinese who now refuse to pay with or accept ruble. There must be massive purchases of rubles on non-Russian secondary markets, driving up the exchange rate. Stealth sanctions?

In Russia, they complained about Armenia's plans to abandon the management of Russian Railways after 30 billion rubles of Russian investments
Over nearly 20 years, Russia has invested more than 30 billion rubles in Armenia's railways, paid more than 15 billion rubles in taxes to the republic's budget, and repaired more than 520 km of tracks.
However, now the country's authorities intend to replace the Russian operator in the management of the railway system, said the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu.
“Now [Armenian Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan says that having Armenia's railways in concession to a Russian company scares off potential partners,” Shoigu complained. [Ya think?]
Since 2008, Armenia's railways have been managed by a subsidiary of Russian Railways under a concession agreement. Meanwhile, Russian Railways is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Which would get oil to Orban and Fico, just not Russian oil. So they will ignore this offer.
