Ukraine is sending drones to kill Russian teams when they infiltrate, not their actual soldiers. Thus, it actually makes sense.

I've got some Russian ships in the black sea to sell you. They are in great condition, trust me.

Trump has asked Putin to be on a "Peace council" involving Gaza.

If then.

But one thing I don’t recall seeing is many soldiers on either side returning home after their hitch is up.

I bet that works out very well.

Ukraine?

That's the legitimate source?

No, the British do their own work. I wouldn't pay a guy just to get another unreliable source to do his own homework for him, and the Brits won't either.

This information would come from anything from satellite photos to on-the-ground reports and assessments by their own people. British military intelligence is considered some of the best in the world by people in our field, so if the British are saying it, it's plausible.

Do you not see the countless verified videos of Russian soldiers in the last seconds of their life as drones sweep in and kill them?

It's actually horrifying to watch, I would understand if you just turned your head.

There's no need to go through either side. SigInt alone is strong enough to make ballpark estimates if not accurate numbers down to the one, in some cases. In the 1990's the US Air Force had cameras strong enough to show the brand name on a golfball in midflight from the pictures taken, they can certainly get accurate body counts from fights that are going on for months and years at a time in the same locations.

Honestly, it's only the Russians who can't do this - they are relying on the Chinese for their info.

Here's something that's actually interesting. The new Ukrainian Commander in Chief has announced his intent to go on the offense:

Syrskyi: Ukraine to shift to offensive operations

Obviously, the manpower problem is going to be an issue for both sides, but Ukraine is going to be faster and more disciplined than the Russians. They've talked about using drones in ground-based warfare for a short time now, maybe that's going to be the plan? It could certainly neutralize their personnel shortages. If it had the option I'd try and split the Russian front-line in half and attack at the crux of the elbow and head for Mariapol or Berdiyansk:

Do that and not only have you disconnected the Russian front, but you've put yourself in a position to retake key port cities and completely humiliated them - it would be hard for anybody to believe Russia could win this war under those conditions.

Hell, retake the Baltic coastline and the Ukrainians have all but won in my book.

You really think they have the capacity to do this and just hadn’t thought of it yet?

So, let's all read the post now:

Does that help?

Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Pavlo Yelizarov as deputy commander of the Air Force responsible for mobile fire groups and drone-based air defense. Zelensky said a new system for mobile and “small” air defense will be created. Yelizarov, call sign “Lazar,” earlier led the Lazar’s Group drone unit.

I will file this plan on MLK day under “I had a dream.”

I agree it's me on a chalkboard. I don't think they have the manpower to do it.

But I could also see the Russians caught napping, too.

As the world turns.

Could you post the map of the Kupyansk theater from Rybar? Then the ISW map?

I wonder if they are close
