You can ignore Couer and Cypher (some complain that they don't "engage" with other posters and that's why they should be banned...)
Posting the same narratives over and over (Couer) or posting the same 3-4 outlets that all share the exact same biases and funding sources (Cypher) is the important bit of context you're missing here. Its not just about "engaging with other posters" or not.
JB wasn't banned because of his post frequency, or for being confrontative. We have dozens of posters that are guilty of both. It was the content. And on those grounds, if the same standard is consistently applied to everyone regardless of opinion, you at LEAST have to ban Cypher as well, and probably Cope too. Or just bring JB back. I don't give a crap what they do either way, but be consistent.

It seems like the general consensus is that Kursk was a detriment to Ukraine's chances overall though.
It depends on who you want to believe. There is the Russian version and the Ukrainian version.

The arguing over who is getting what and how much is kind of silly though. General trends over a long period of time tell us way more than "X captured Y amount this month"
I agree and three plus years after the SO began, Russia has less territory now than it did in its initial major operation. Estimates now are that they hold 20%. At their peak they held 22%. And remember Ukraine still holds a small portion of Russia.

Not accurate, at all.
The extremely pro-Ukraine analysts that I tend to follow have all been saying that Kursk was a waste of resources for Ukraine. Most agree that if you're going to do it, you make the initial push through to make them respond and then back out. Ukraine committed and it cost them.

How do you know this?
Did chicken say this?

Because just like I said, we have dozens of posters who are confrontational or who post frequently, or both, who are allowed to post freely with no consequence. So its pretty obvious that it was his content that got him the ban. At the very least it was the differentiating factor, in addition to his attitude and frequency, between him and those other posters that led to the ban.

True, more analysts seem to believe it was a failure than a success. But I have read where some maintain it helped to ease pressure on the fronts.
Personally, I think it gave the Ukes a shot of Adrenalin, but they left themselves exposed too long and if also gave NK an excuse to send troops.
I’m watching now to see if Russia can take better advantage of their numbers and take the momentum this Summer and make significant gains.

No it's not.
In fact it's ludicrous accusing the mods of having a pro-Ukrainian bias now that this thread is in the PT. Every day in the PT there are anti-Ukrainian, anti-Zelenskyy threads that are not censored.

It was intended to, and would have if not for Russia tapping the Norks

One analyst I read said it saved Pokrovdk.
Just saying there’s some varying opinions.
Remember, Pokrovsk was going to fall months ago?
Are you surprised by the lack of offense this Summer. by the Russians? I am, but that could change.

Its not that JB was banned for being pro-Russian or anti-Ukraine (at least in my view), its that he was banned for pushing an agenda in general. Does it help that it was an agenda in favor of America's top historical enemy who has a lengthy history of trying to influence American opinion? I'd say probably not, but I get it.
That is what I mean by "his content". I don't have any issue with how the mods handled it, and I don't think they are necessarily biased, I just think they should be consistent with applying that standard even if other posts are more sneaky about it than the blunt instrument JB was.

It's a false equivalence to equate JB/BU with any other poster in this thread or in this forum (as far as I can tell) for that matter.

Coer csn be aggravating when he goes on his anti Trump rages. Cypher beats the same drum too often. Can they be annoying? Sure.
But neither of them posted hour after hour celebrating Ukrainian deaths and destruction. Neither of them are firehosers. Neither of them came back as alters. Neither of them seem to be on the payroll.
Just count your blessings. They still allow me to post so I can be your punching bag.

Not really. The possibility of talks actually leading somewhere was higher earlier in the year, and activity on both sides always picks up around those talks. Maybe Ukraine has just stopped them again, maybe Russia just stopped themselves for whatever reason, I don't really know.
If I had to guess, some of the attacks deep into Russia have them focused more on whats going on behind their lines than they have been. They have to get security measures in check internally or it won't matter how much they push.
Last time I really dug into the frontlines in any detail, Russia was closing in (slowly) on some pretty significant areas in a tactical sense. I'm sure Ukraine has doubled down on defending those. But sense any gains being made have been on foot, those are likely to be inconsistent even in good conditions.

I make no apologies for war crime or russian terrorism updates. It's news, and it happens on a daily basis.

Cypher has a repeated pattern for multiple years now. Links all coming from the same 3-4 extremely pro Ukrainian outlets that either outright are or at least border on propaganda, and they are almost all funded by the US or the west as a whole.
He used to only post the articles, and I started calling him out on it and now he adds a bit of commentary to it.
Its not that I am 'annoyed' by it so much as it is me noticing what is to me an obvious pattern.

I am trying to be cordial from now on. I went too far on occasion and I apologize. I love America, and I was being accused of being some kind of Russian shill just for having a different opinion and went into defense mode too often.

Contrasted to the fact that there was absolutely no anti-Biden raging going on here, ever?
Look, I was banned for about 3 years for saying the 2020 election was not "stolen" by Biden and that Jan 6 was an insurrection here in the PT. I was not a jerk about it, I just stood my ground while being personally insulted by everyone else.
We don't know why these posters got banned, maybe an admin will pop in and tell us why.

None is expected. Your posts are depressing but serve as a reminder about just how bad this war is.

Biden is a senile pervert who was also the worst president in US history.
