Russia's objective of obtaining those regions is the closet point to bringing the end to the war. They're on the winning side of the equation so encouraging Ukros to cave and save what remains of their population and economy isn't a neocon position. I don't care about Ukros one bit, but you're not the one being hunted in the streets and being wiped out. Worse yet, they're flooding into US. Ukrainians are the more corrupt more dumbed down and woked out via decades of USAID version of Russians, so yeah, I don't want more of that where i live. And I certainly don't want those woke Ukrainian Karens I see on Twitter and X to flood here, like the one that was stabbed on a train.

Putin is a Boomer

Boomer criticism specifically imo is a very American thing. Criticism of those younger or older is a pretty universal thing generally, but the Boomer thing is at another level in the US given how Boomers were born on third base and claim to have hit a triple, compared to the conditions younger generations currently face in the US with a lot of uncertainty, road blocks, and unaffordability.
All that to say, I don't really think someone from another country being a "Boomer" really carries all that much weight. American Boomers are largely the target of that, and they probably deserve it a bit.

Russian territorial gains in Ukraine drop sharply in September, monitoring group says
October 1, 2025 1:53 pm
The pace of Russia’s territorial advances in Ukraine slowed significantly in September, with Russian forces seizing 44% less land compared to August, the Ukrainian monitoring group DeepState reported on Oct. 1.
Russian troops captured approximately 259 square kilometers (100 square miles) of Ukrainian territory during the last month, just 0.04% of Ukraine’s total area. This marks the smallest monthly gain since May.
In total, Russia now occupies around 19.04% of Ukraine’s territory.
Ukraine's most significant losses in September occurred near the village of Novopavlivka in Donetsk Oblast. DeepState analysts described this sector as one of the most challenging sections of the front.
Heavy fighting also continues around the town of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast, near the Ukrainian-Russian border.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces reportedly managed to sustain effective defense. Analysts noted that roughly one-third of all Russian assaults were concentrated on the town of Pokrovsk and the surrounding areas.
"The cost of every meter here is significantly higher. (Russia) has approached the town from the south, and urban combat differs greatly in complexity from fighting in open areas. Additionally, there is virtually no defensive depth remaining," the report read.
Over the past month, Ukrainian forces have been pushing back Russian troops who had advanced 15-20 kilometers (6 miles) toward the strategic Dobropillia–Kramatorsk highway, near the contested city of Pokrovsk.
Since late August, Ukrainian units have recaptured several villages in the region, including Zarichne, Novoekonomichne, and Udachne.

Moscow Times broke the story, now Kommersant has confirmed.
In a written appeal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak warned that the risk of further deterioration in Russia’s domestic fuel supply remains, despite the government’s planned interventions, Kommersant reported, citing the document.

Ukrainian TG channel Rezident writes:
Another front line has collapsed due to Syrsky's decision to redeploy combat units to the Pokrovska cauldron. The enemy army has entrenched itself on the northern outskirts of Severesk (Seversk direction), reports a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign "Muchnoy".
According to him, Russian troops have entrenched "in the part that locals call Severesk Maly/Verkhny Severesk, by the Seversky Donets river" (the Russian Ministry of Defense claims to have captured Severesk Maly).
"By visual control, they already have a bridgehead and seem to be preparing to shift pressure to the next phase — towards Dronovka," notes "Muchnoy."
Field commanders oppose the General Staff's initiative to hold Pokrovska in tactical encirclement, pointing out the futility of such decisions, as losses among the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasing and causing mass personnel shortages, but the Commander-in-Chief is carrying out the politicians' decision"

May have been hit before and shoddy repairs by Russian "craftsmen" or same "craftsmen" who maintained the compressor station for Nordstream causing the compressors to crash

Bogus copus numbers from Kiev Dependent.
The pace isn't meant to accelerate yet because their goal is reducing Ukrianian army, not rushing into positions they can't supply and opening themselves up. They're gaining 500sq. km or more/month on average.

You really don't understand USAid.
USAID was enacted by Congress to promote US interests abroad.
The PROBLEM with USAID is that it began promoting ANTI US abroad and here in the US with Obama.
