The New York Times, WSJ, and Politico are not Russian Sources. If Lord Bebo post a article by the WSJ that does not make it a Russian Source, the source is the WSJ. I understand if you don't like Lord Bebo because he posted a negative article about Ukraine from the WSJ but that does not make the article a Russian source

Either you're right or I am, and since you have no real response to the things I have posted you choose to go 'well, that's you opinion.' But it's not, because the ideas we espouse are either right or wrong, either factual or not. Because I, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, want it for myself. I want control over it not only for the sake of control, but also for the opportunity to use it as a launching pad for more wars for more control over more people. I want to rule the world, or at least Eastern Europe, and I see the Ukraine as the next vital step in this process. And if that means I exterminate 60 million people in the process, threaten Nuclear Holocaust, topple potentially dozens of peaceful governments, or whatever I will do it. I've done it to my own people by throwing dissenters into jail, or out of a window, or poisoning them in other countries.
I didn't just wake up one day and say "Let's invade the Ukraine." I've planned this out for years. I told people for over a decade that I could take the Ukraine in three days. I've projected my plan out for as many years, if not more.
Does that make me illogical? No, if you see things my way. Yes, if you have any humanity in you. As a result, I know that people will turn the other way and say, "it's not our concern' or 'give them what they want' or 'they have a REASON,' even when I am clearly lying. Even the most powerful leader on the planet.
People, like yourself, don't seem to want to admit that there is no reason outside of sheer power and greed, so as a result there is no reason, at least no good reasons, so we're forced to fall back on 'that's your opinion', and we go ahead and start ignoring basic facts and listening and acquiescing to lies, like made up accusations of genocide in the Ukraine, or a government being led by a democratically elected Russian Jew somehow being a 'Nazi' government.
This is why it's not just our opinion - either genocide happened in the Ukraine and Ukrainians with a Russian background got slaughtered for no reason, or they didn't. Either the Ukrainian government is a National Socialist government, or it isn't. Either Vladimir Zelinsky is in charge, or he isn't. And it matters.
See the difference?

You repeatedly said you don't want to rehash it. And then you went on a several paragraphs long rant.
It is an opinion because ultimately neither of us can 'know' for sure. Ultimately Russia's decision to invade was Putin's alone. So unless you can read minds, we are sharing our opinions on Russia's reaosons (or lack of).

Nope. I can do research to find out whether genocide happened or not, Zelinsky is a Jewish Nazi or not, Russia is winning this war or not, and so on. Halfway decent critical thinking skills can do the rest.

McCain was right about everything related to Putin's ambitions and Ukraine - way back in 2014. Predicted the russian land bridge to Crimea, the EUs dependence on russian energy, and the US sending MREs when they were begging for defensive weapons.

Per Hal, McCain was shot down due his incompetence as a fighter pilot. The squadron did an analysis of what happened. Without his dad being over the Pacific Fleet he would have been flying cargo planes. Hal had sort of similar situation since his dad was a general in the Army. Hal signed up for NROTC at Miss State as a rebellion against dad. Every male member of his family for generations was required to be in the military when they turned 18, but all before had been to West Point (maybe VMI), ROTC or enlisted. Hal's brother enlisted in the Army.
FTR, I miss my old friend. Dude had a way to see through any BS (including Ron Paul) and get to the core issue of a subject. He was a directional driller in civilian life, mechanical engineer by degree. Though he was politically conservative, he had no problems with valid points by whatever ideology. He cared less whether someone was gay or straight in sexual orientation.
