That is what's really important, right?

All this other stuff about stopping killing is just a distraction.

If you come asking for help from the American people show a.little respect for the place.

Sad that your kind doesn't get that.

Z apparently got that message after the first time.

You didn't

Okay, I think I understand you better now...

I think two things can be true, Z larping is weird and I'm really not a fan of it, and its also not a big deal.

He was respectful last time. Vance and Trump just wanted to pick a fight.

The European Leaders are there to make it clear that this fight is going to go on and Trump has to pick a side, and in order for an end to happen he has to pick the right one.

This is a problem he clearly doesn't want, and he is avoiding and simply trying to pressure Zelinsky and the Ukrainians into quitting and that isn't going to happen.

So the killing goes on.

The killing goes on because of Putin, his power and his goals.

Sure, Zelenskyy/Ukraine could surrender, and comply with Putin’s demands, but why would they capitulate to Russia and return to vassel status. They have lived that way before.

Hundreds of thousands have been maimed or killed so Putin could regain some of the old USSR. The man is covered in blood.

He definitely learned how to interact with Trump.

He switched from pontificating to just following and waiting for his foe to make the first mistake.

I think it's a lesson for all of us in life.

Sometimes it's best to wait for the first mistake.

I don't know if it's a mindset so much as it is an observation of reality. We are nicer about it than Russia and China are, but these countries know who butters their bread at the end of the day.

How sovereign are countries that we could occupy in a day if we chose to? They govern themselves because we allow them to. And if we (or Russia or China if it's a country in their orbit) don't like something they do, their leadership might all of a sudden end up losing our favor. If they keep doing it they might become some kind of pariah state. And if it continues from there maybe we are financing rebels to overthrow them.

We are just doing what the Mongols or Rome did by having friendly local governors to project our power in a country. And to be clear I don't think we are bad guys for doing it, we have 'presided' over peace and prosperity at levels that we haven't really seen. But there is a power dynamic there that must be acknowledged, and I'm surprised I'm the one doing it vs one of our resident lefties.

The Europeans are rightly saying that no country should have its borders changed by military force.
