If tweet fails to load, click here. As discussed, the cure for all this confusion is more Ru refineries blowing up. Ramp that up and watch Putin catch a big case of cooperation and understanding. And no amount of Russian kompromat will change that.

The head of Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 2 in Russia's Taganrog personally ordered the systematic torture and psychological pressure against Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna, who died in Russian captivity, according to statements by the Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Police of Ukraine.
Investigation reported that Russians brought Viktoriia, abducted in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, to the pre-trial detention center in Taganrog on December 30, 2023, where she was held until September 8, 2024. At the time, the head of the facility was a Russian national Aleksandr Shtoda.
quote:
In October 2024, Viktoriia's father received a letter from the Russian ministry of defense claiming that she had died in Russian captivity on September 19.
In February 2025, Viktoriia's body was returned to Ukraine missing several internal organs - her eyeballs, brain, part of her larynx, and with the hyoid bone broken. A representative of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported signs of brutal torture - hemorrhages (bleeding) all over her body, a broken rib, and traces of electric shocks applied to her feet.
For this crime, the detention center chief faces up to 12 years in prison.
According to the National Police, the suspect has already left his position as head of the facility.
It is also reported that the investigation is ongoing and that efforts are underway to identify all those involved in crimes against Viktoriia Roshchyna.
Eternal memory to Viktoriia. Deepest condolences to her family.
And for head of the facility Russian national Aleksandr Shtoda -

Reuters reports that President Trump will host leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the White House tomorrow to sign an agreement which will give the United States exclusive development rights to the Zangezur corridor.
This is a part of a larger geopolitical deal. The United States is increasing its influence in the Central Asia, South Caucasus, Turkey region.
There are reports that the corridor will be named "Trump’s Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP). Goods and infrastructure investments, not weapons and soldiers, will flow along the corridor.
This will bring stability to the region and will weaken Russia's influence there.
Note that during negotiations about Zangezur corridor, Russia has launched a strike on Ukrainian Orlivka gas compression station, through which Azerbaijan gas supplies began recently. That was a clear signal from Putin to President Aliyev that Russia might escalate its aggression against Azerbaijan.
Russian attacks are covert; Russia prefers the "thousand cuts" tactic. It's not hard to assume that Russia will attempt to disrupt the normal functioning of the corridor.
Obviously, Russia is not happy about a stable peace in the South Caucasus. Russia will make efforts to destabilize the region. It doesn't have the resources for a new war in the Caucaus but it is definitely able to cause harm.

Well this is interesting. The historic Lefortovo prison, the NKVD / KGB / FSB .... well, let's not put a description on what has happened there over the last hundred plus years... is now making public a list of current guests. Quite a few true bad guys but some obviously wealthy persons as well who are just guilty of having a lot of liquidity when the Kremlin is on a collection drive for such.
Maybe publishing this list is designed to reduce the objections of the wealthy when asked for donations? It sure would work for me. For those guys, I'd be pulling sofa cushions to look for extra change.

Putin agreed to meet Trump as a delaying tactic
Well, no shite.
This whole thing to me is clearly just a tactic to delay and potentially pin the blame for peace not happening back on Ukraine. Putin just needs to agree to terms that seem favorable to Trump, but that he knows Ukraine won't (or can't) accept.
Also, the leader of a country that is 'screwed' per some wouldn't be turning down potential offramps and in this case potentially burning them as possibilities down the road.

Yeah I don't care what the mods do re:JB. I think he did deserve a ban. But you have to apply principles consistently.
