I'm older and I would never advise another adult in such matters. I do my thing you do your thing. I'm no expert. I do my own research. You do yours.

The ones that don’t blindly follow the directive of obviously political health organizations.

It’s been very disappointing to see how many doctors just defer to these organizations and remove themselves from critically evaluating information.

I thought we had learned that there were no monolithic demographics by now.

and I dont intend to stop the critical thinking when I get older either
My parents are in their 70's. Both are heart patients. Dad also has COPD. The MSM scared the shite out of them and just knew COVID was a death sentence if they got it. They did. Both are fine. Nothing more than cold symptoms. Then they followed their quack doctor's advice and got the jab.

For you older men on here

How old is 'old?' = is he in good health otherwise or does he have other health issues?

all of that matters much more than your tale of 'brave' confrontation.

And since it was at Christmas time, what were the circumstance? Did he ask for your advice? or did you intrude on his private health decisions?

Does you wife agree with you on his situation? If not, then you are treading on stupid grounds.

Nothing in your post says anything to me other than that you are a prick.

IF you had real concerns about his healthcare decisions, you should have presented some facts other than your political insinuations. You sound like a jerk. You would first talk to your MIL about the situation. You would consider what your wife's opinion is.

Well, your experience once again has led you astray.

Older men, and women, gain wisdom as they age....which is a good thing.

WHen they get senile, that is the time to ignore the nonsense.

I did present the facts and just the facts. Take a good, long, and hard look at yourself before accusing me of being the presumptuous one keemosabe.

Such anger - take care man.

Knowledge and veracity are two separate things.

If you're knowledgeable on a subject, but you're a lying, greedy piece of shite, then your word means nothing.

During Covid, we saw innumerable "experts" lying out of their asses.

At this point, only IDIOTS don't question everything and everyone.

close for me; I was borderline bought in on "2 weeks to flatten the curve"; but it was obvious early that this whole thing was bullshite - especially when they started targeting kids for abuse (I.E. forced out of school & activities and then muzzled in the nasty masks when they did go back)

Your Father-In-Law is a coward and that's why he's pushing this already disproven bull shite.

Try not to be an a-hole. If his father was in a vunerable age group, taking a shot doesnt make him a coward

Why doesn't you post a reputable study that shows that the shot is "disproven bull shite" for a man of his age group (let's assume that to be 65).

Have at it. If you dont post it, it will show you to be the real coward.

I am probably as old or older than your FIL. I took the two but refused the booster. I have never encouraged nor discouraged anyone from taking it. It should be their choice and their choice only based on their own understanding of the risks and benefits. I realize many people don't have that ability but then should rely on their doctor. Some yahoo that only knows what his biased opinion tells him should not be giving medical advice.
