This never works out like the left thinks it will. Not a big number of people will do it, it never moves the needle..
Look at Louisiana, what would be the worst outcome?
Fleming
Letlow
Cassidy
All three bend the knee to Trump.
They vote for lower polling Republican?
Who cares….
The ones who would do this are hardcore leftist who then would not be able to vote for their hardcore leftist in the Democrat primary.

There is no point in voting Democrat in Alabama. None. I have pulled a GOP in every primary since I started voting at 18.
And it used to be the other way around. Similar in most Southern states. 40 years ago, the Democratic primaries in Alabama were the de facto general election. Republicans could not win...and some very conservative Democrats were elected to office.
But the Dixiecrat wing of the Democratic Party is long gone. Perhaps we will see a re-emergence of the Rockefeller Republicans, under a different name of course.

No way the Dems don’t go rogue when Trump’s ‘Grand Conspiracy’ prosecutions begin right after a successful Midterm election. He’ll troll them with solid evidentiary prosecution cases and just like with the Gerrymandering they will go insane. Dems will never again own Government because they have shown their true and treasonous colors and intent. MAGA is now in the ‘whatever it takes’ mindset, and Royce White is the tip of the spear in boldly and publicly stating what no other politician will. Dem meltdown is a fait accompli. So is the Authoritarian reaction to it.

The typical Democrat voter is too lazy to go to all that trouble.
