Has anyone looked at Jindal's endorsee's track records in how they fared in their quests to be elected?
Jindal is more of a kiss of death than anyone realizes*
*This is coming from a three time Jindal voter.

I asked him what separates him from everyone else, what makes him different...
No other candidate's grandfather won a football NC at LSU 56 years ago.
This kid's candidacy is all about name recognition, pure and simple. It's like the plot of "The Distinguished Gentleman" come to life.

One of the main reasons EE is running is to help Mary by motivating the democrat base to get into the booth, IMO.

You think Jindal will let Graves tap into his fundraising network?
No doubt about it.
They must want to get rid of Claitor.

I doubt at EE's age he would do anything other than something for himself, if she is benefited by turnout in the 6th it is incidental. I doubt EE even helps that much turn out may be increased to beat his sorry old arse and thus help Cassidy.

This race has nothing to do with Claitor. Claitor is semi-known/popular around S. BR, but the 6th district goes all the way down to Houma where no one knows or cares about a squishy trial-lawyer from S. BR.
Graves' name is in BR and on the coast. I can't name all his accomplishments or if he really has any. But people know him and he will raise a TON of money with big oil and gas. More importantly, he will raise a TON more than anyone else in this race.
Like I said, put this one in the books... it's over.

You can tell Jindal has done something right with the good ole boys in the famously corrupt LA system are pissed.

Jindal joined the good old boy system a few years ago when he sold out and gave up on the good fight. Keep believing he is some kind of great political difference maker.

Here's my nightmare scenario (which I honestly think will be the most likely to happen):
Edwards finishes first in the primary with all of the republican candidates beating each other up. Due to his famous name (and rumored financial backing from the Vitter camp), Dietzel makes the runoff against Edwin. Due to Dietzel being a really poor candidate and Edwin being a campaigning genius, Edwin narrowly wins the runoff. Thanks to Edwards being in the race in the runoff, the democratic vote has a reason to go to the polls in the 6th district. While voting for Edwin, they pull the lever for Mary Landreiu and she narrowly defeats Cassidy to maintain her Senate seat. The two high-five over drinks at Manseurs.

Please let Edwards win. Would love to see the train wreck and would just help expose the system for the dog and pony show it truly is even more.

Why would you wish that evil on Louisiana?
A nightmare indeed.

I heard that Graves will win this thing. He is Bobby Jindal’s boy. Worked in Washington for Billy Tauzin and John Breaux. He knows his way around DC.

This race is up to its knees in assholes. Paul Dietzel? What kind of narcissist wierdo runs for Congress at 28? (The same kind who pays someone to design a website and calls himself an entrepreneur). Dan Claitor? What kind of douchebag gouges law students $100+ for some crappy Xerox copies and calls it a "law book"? (The same kind who has a monopoly over 1/2 the law schools in the state). Garret Graves? The Coastal Advisor funded by Big Oil? Oy ve! Edwin Edwards? I'd rather the Supreme Court reinstate his law license.

Jindal's boy and the understudy John Breaux and Billy Tauzin? Sounds like three strikes against what we should be hoping for.

Looking at Claitor's State Senator seat should he win, interesting how that spot has been a revolving door as of late.
Cassidy wins in '07 against the tax and spend Republican incumbent William Daniel. Then a couple years later, before his term is up, Cassidy runs for the 6th District seat, wins, opening up that State Sen. seat.
And ugly race ensues, with Jindal's boy, Lee Domingue, getting hammered on his personal life by Pat Bergeron (former leader of Tea Party of Louisiana?) and loses to Claitor in the runoff.
Now Claitor could very well win this year if he survives the first round, opening up that State Sen. seat again. Who would the prospects be there?

What's the minimum age requirement to run for a state senate seat?
