What if you don't have one? Or are using a fake one?

and how suspicious will they be when they find nada on social media? I still run into instances where people stare with open-mouthed amazement when I say I've never used Faceborg

Or you can just say no. Better yet, let the people that love this stuff live there, and the rest of us never go there or visit. They can have their liberal utopia.

My answer would be to request they cite the federal law they’re talking about.

You have the right to remain silent. Exercise that right.

This times a million.

Depending upon what state you live in you may or may not have to give your name and you may have to provide identification (which I think is much rarer).

Beyond that, shut your pie hole. BUT, in some states it is also required that when you shut your pie hole that you expressly state that you are refusing to answer question and/or provide information specifically because you are exercising your fifth amendment right.

I’m old enough to remember when the ACLU actually stood for civil right and would fight shite like this.

This also.

One of the biggest reasons you don't want to talk in the first place is to avoid the police using your statements against you to make you look like a liar. If you lie to them—especially about something as easily verifiable as that—you make that pretty easy.

Depends on what the definition of is is.

Very liberal use of “I don’t recall” “I am unsure” and better yet…

Will fix any “false” statements.

What are they going to do if you just say I'm not on any social media? Is there a law against not sharing it on demand?

Or the easiest solution. Get off all social media platforms and let it become a lib database.
