I didn't say it did. All I pointed out was there will be some moral pronouncements by state governments. So it may not be possible for you to avoid a thump here and there. It is really an invitation to think more deeply about the point you are articulating.

It is the same problem when people say the government shouldn't be involved in marriage. That means getting rid of the body of law on inheritance, parentage, welfare of children, etc. It isn't so simple to separate morals from governance.

All. They love that pubilc money.
At least we only have to deal with them for double the term limits instead of forever.

You don't know what thumping is.

I'm merely referencing the fact that adultery is a lot different than what you claim Jay Dardenne is doing.. and I referenced the Bible in respsonse to your ignorant post regarding morality.

Sorry it struck a nerve. Please refrain from moronic posts.

Oh yes I do.

It’s an emotional shouting match that has completely replaced a public policy debate and a debate who we feel will advance our own financial and long term interests the best.

And I’m a guy who believes his faith in Christ and the Lord himself is a private matter for myself that belongs only in a church and at home and I don’t subject my faith to anyone or the long term interests of my community.

Don’t care.

Someone’s adultery has no effect on my life and it never will as that’s between him and God along with his family and yet Dardenne lied to Louisiana voters like it actually did have an effect on their lives.

Dardenne claims to be sticking up for family values while actually hurting Louisiana families by cheerleading policies from a liberal who idolizes crooks like Edwin Edwards and Huey Long.

Not my fault you can’t rationalize your way out of that.

That goes DIRECTLY AGAINST Jesus' teachings.

His last words before leaving earth were:

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

The theistic answer is that God makes them. The humanistic answer is that men make them.

My answer is live your life by the morals that God makes them but do not force them onto anyone else, especially your own community.

Big difference between preaching and forcing your religious values onto your compatriots.

Should be working on tort reform, pushing for a constitutional convention to open the books and clean out from years of spending abuse, changing the hell hole culture that has wrecked our business climate and pushed all the high paying jobs and talent to Houston.

I don't think $1,000 per teacher before taxes is going to sway many votes. Besides, the vast majority of teachers vote liberal anyways.

This will not be happening with JBE in charge and frankly should not either especially with a constitutional convention.

Our current state constitution is an Edwin Edwards product and JBE loves him so much he gave a speech at his 90th birthday party.

He cannot be trusted.

Refuse to legalize marijuana

There's actually 14 pieces of legislation related to marijuana and hemp this session. I don't expect any of the bills relating to legalization or expansion of the sad LA MMJ program to likely make it out of committee.

The hemp bills that bring LA in line with the 2018 US Farm Bill are a bit more interesting, because they could potentially setup a framework for industrial hemp to become a legitimate Louisiana crop. However, the chairman of the Senate Ag committee (Francis "Reefer Madness" Thompson) has already stated that he couldn't support industrial hemp right now because "We gotta make sure that it’s not something that would cause our kids to be involved like marijuana for recreation use."

Gotta love those Louisiana politicians. Here's Thompson rambling incoherently on the floor in 2016 about medical marijuana, which he clearly refuses to properly educate himself on.

Hey JBE.. "$7.25/hr. is not MEANT to raise a family!"

When will people grasp this concept? Minimum wage is a wage to introduce young people into the work force, not a single mom of 4.

I'm sick of my tax dollars having to bail people out from making bad decisions.

Nope. He doesn't want to be seen as a "tax and spend" democrat
