I can't see it happening again if it's a mistrial.
I think the prosecution knows its a loser.
The prosecution has always known it is a clear case of self defense. They DON'T CARE! They will absolutely retry the case and will ahve an opportunity to bring in a competent team and/or fix their frickups.

However, he did purchase the gun illegally, right (though that would be a violation of federal, not state law, and this court would not have jurisdiction), and there was a curfew that night (Though obviously not enforced). Had he not bought the gun or broken curfew, he would not be in this situation. Does he not bear some responsibility, moral if not legal (and I get that the law may create technical issues that may make "legal" different from "moral")?
The law must be applied fairly and to all people equally. If none of those thug racist pieces of shite ANTIFA / BLM marxists aren’t brought before a grand jury for gun charges, broken curfew, rioting, looting, burning businesses and arson against federal and state facilities… then KYLE SHOULDNT EITHER. PERIOD!!!! FULL FREAKING STOP!!! The kid should walk and screw what the marxists do!!! If they riot again, the police should do it right this time and put those pieces of dog crap down with extreme force and stop making citizens like Kyle HAVE TO step up in their place in order to reestablish order. These jurists better not let justice be intimidated by tyranny.

Retrying this case would be an awful miscarriage of justice. If this judge allows that, he's a damn fool.

The poise and discipline he displayed with that gun, as a 17 year old kid under attack from older hardened criminals in what had to be a very frightening ordeal, was nothing short of remarkable.
Heroic.

Making it about me?
Talk about an idiot.
I’m making it about the FACT that no one cares about your opinion. You are just too self absorbed to recognize it.
Typical for you people.
The case:
You said it would take a day. You are super smart.

According to Barnes' polling (he was on the defense team for 8 months) of Kenosha, 2/3rds of the residents thought Kyle was already guilty of something prior to the trial

My immediate question... will Legal Bytes be all dolled up or dressed like she's 4 glasses of wine deep and about to collapse into bed?
She was well on her way to getting in her cups yesterday. In fact, I think she got a head on Rekieta.
She was so cute!

They are still bound by the record/testimony from this trial. I don't mean they can't introduce new evidence (not clear on that) but the damning testimony is still there.

Can someone explain to me why the defense didn't do a jury selection?

I deleted my twat account, but when I do go there to check comments lately, there are always comments that have the offensive warning box that when you click are not offensive in any way whatsoever. Twitter is such a cesspool. It's mainly a tool of the Prog media to use as a "source" to show "backlash" and "outrage."

quote:What the hell is wrong with you? We the People HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY to stand up to tyranny and protect people and property. Law Enforcement was NOT DOING their job, they very rarely do. They stood back and watched all the destruction. You poo poo on Kyle being out there, but the bad guys were the ones he shot. The Constitution says we have a right to bear arms, and not just if we are very very afraid for our lives. Go back in time and try starting a fire on Thomas Jefferson's house. He would shoot you in the head, not call the police.
I agree that it's self-defense if you grant that Rittenhouse had as much right to be there as anyone else. If I were on the jury, I would definitely not convict on any kind of a pre-meditated homicide. However, he did purchase the gun illegally, right (though that would be a violation of federal, not state law, and this court would not have jurisdiction), and there was a curfew that night (Though obviously not enforced). Had he not bought the gun or broken curfew, he would not be in this situation.
