Yeah, this isnt a big deal. People love to freak out I guess.

They're not supposed to be looking up shite about the case.
(ETA: All the videos are online, too. You want them doing independent research at home and bring back their notes to the group each day? For actual frick's sake...)

Someone getting some outside advice on the jury instructions?

Jurors aren't typically supposed to be doing extra-curricular individualized study.

Crickey , is this judge daft and goofy.

He should have asked counsel BEFORE he decided to let jury take instructions home

Until he gets all "mad", with his "day of reckoning", until the next story time about the history of the courthouse

This is 100% the karen foreman so she can come back and act like she figured it all out last night. I have an employee like that and she is a PITA about stuff like this.

If you believe they aren't looking shite up each night, especially the progressive(s) on the jury, I have a bridge to sell you.

Defense is leaning over completely backwards to appear non-confrontational to the jury when they should be uber-confrontational for their client!!!

If they file an acquittal, can they determine if there was prejudice? How does this work post trial as well with the goofball prosecutor and judge?

I'm assuming it is as well. Sounded the same as the one that commented about the judge's chair.

I would be lucking up how to get rid of this foreman Karen person and be done with this trial.

Yep. This probably means the holdout(s) are wanting to do research outside of the courtroom on the Internet to justify/support their entrenched position.

Fair enough. That's explicitly against the rules, though. The judge is now tacitly approving it. More mistrial grounds and things to take on appeal, if the defense even registers an objection.
(ETA: These defense lawyers are bad.)

When he asked if there were any questions I was hoping for a male voice asking if they can fire their foreman.

That's the issue I have as well. There's no valid reason they should need the instructions at home

It's the same person and I'm sure she will come back tomorrow with a lot of written notes on the jury instructions that the law fair group will prepare for her.
