Ok, NOBODY is this incompetent. The only evidence I've seen that they're trying to win this is when the guy buried his face in his hands. Could there be something to the "they were forced to prosecute and they're trying to throw it" theory?

the wound they are trying to describe as in the back is really top down, IE shooting a guy who is lunging or falling forward. it entered the upper middle back near the spine and went through the lung, diaphragm, and into the flank. that's a top down shot

They may have been forced to do this but no one intentionally lays down and gives the opposition a win.

the evidence is coming in either way. i think the prosecution is trying to take a little of the 'bite' away from the defense by entering it in on their terms.
