Festivus is more legitimate.

Yeah, IDK what this is, but it sounds like some redistribution bullshite.

It's a holiday a lot of Black people celebrate.
No, they don't.

It's being celebrated heavily in my suburb.
No, it isn't.
The most reliably Christian demographic in America are black people.

Looking at those 'principles', I can say with a large degree of confidence and certainty that almost no black person in this country lives by them.

They should have picked a name they could all spell.

I'd be willing to put up money that you could set up in any American city and ask random black people, "I'll give you $100 for every one of the Kwanza principles you can name," and you'd never hand out a dime.
Umoja (unity)
Kujichagulia (self-determination)
Ujima (collective work and responsibility)
Ujamaa (cooperative economics)
Nia (purpose)
Kuumba (creativity)
Imani (faith)
Black people have taken to Kwanza with as much gusto as Hispanics have adopted Latinx.

They just want Biden to declare it a national holiday so they can have a day off of "work"

I have been black for a number of years and I have yet to meet anyone who participates in a Kwanza celebration.

I bet it’s a huge event in Africa. It has to be great go see Egyptians, Ugandans, Nigerians and South Africans celebrating their continent’s rich history together as one.

Yes it is. Eric Adams, Latoya Contrell, etc. are having celebrations.

I live in my suburb. Mixed suburb. It's being celebrated this year and has been for a while now.
Not everyone celebrates Christmas.
