If Trump goes this route, it will go to SCOTUS and the appointment will be upheld. She's been on the bench ~3.5 years now, enough for her to be considered part of the team and they aren't going to turn on one of their own.
They'll recommend record-keeping of autopen approvals be made/kept, but the ultimate result in this is that the autopen's use and acceptance is going to be greatly expanded.
