How long until there is a massive amount of dedications to radio stations of “I Shot The Sheriff”, either by Bob Marley or Eric Clapton, in the Broward County area?

There's literally no point to background checks if a goddamned Federal Agency gets that call and nothing is done.
Leftist take: “see the FBI can’t do it, so just ban for everyone, hen hey won’t have any background checks to worry about.”
I think I’m getting the hang of being a Democrat how am I doing?

So the kid felt himself slipping.. and was basically begging for someone to step in and stop him before he does something fricked up.
And Israel and his deputies ignored it. Israel was too busy mingling with democrat politicians.

I'm not sure if that can be done at this point. They've worked the social media generation into a frenzy of gun control. 16 yr old gun experts on every news channel screaming for everyone's guns.
They've overplayed the hell out of their hand and are about to have to burn a bunch of 16-17 yr old kids that all got played.
I doubt they go away quietly.

I don’t have sympathy for Nickolas Cruz from the standpoint that he is accountable for his actions; however, it is absolutely pathetic that he received no help given 39 visits to his home and he himself calling the sheriffs office reporting that he was struggling.
This guy was just 19 years old and there were clearly a lot of problems that went unchecked.

Things keep going and he’ll be mingling with the Democrat voter base. At least he will if he isn’t in protective custody.

Kids are a renewable resource for the Dems because there is always a new generation of useful idiots coming down the line.
Them fricking this up just may have ruined another crop for them, much like their mishandling of the 2016 election cycle burned a bunch of Bernie supporters on the Dems.
Kids only stay stupid until life hits them in the face and the Dems sure sped that process along in this case.

What a joke
Every day it seems more news comes out to make the "blame the NRA" crowd look like imbeciles.

Same. I don't have sympathy for him. But I am pissed off that the sheriff and his cronies seemed to do everything in their power to not help this kid.
The only help they gave him was 4 extra, uninterrupted minutes, to murder other kids.
If a dude calls the authorities and tells them that he is basically breaking down.. then the authorities need to fricking get involved. Especially if the person that is calling.. is someone that has had over 20 visits from the police, in recent years.

The sheriff should be held accountable for 17 lost lives.

Broward County? They were probably busy rigging an election somewhere

Our mental health laws need massive overhaul. One of the only things the left has ever done to give us more freedom is to protect the mentally ill. In the old days these people didn't have the rights they do now, but were hauled off and never heard from again. It was cruel but it also reduced these sorts of events.
Now, I understand everyone's reservations about infringing on someone's rights because of something out of their control, but there's ways to do it that remain constitutional. If someone makes a threat they should be hauled off, put before a judge and let the judge determine if they are merely a criminal or someone who needs psychiatric evaluation. If they are a criminal, charge them. If they are obviously crazy, hospitalize them. In most cases you don't need a shrink to make this determination. It's obvious when someone is delusional or psychotic.
Most crazy people don't threaten others, so they are no problem. I am talking about people like Cruz who obviously are ill but also dangerous. Put them away and take weapons from them.

The more I read about this kid, it sounds like he fricking knew he was going crazy and for a solid period of time basically lashed out to get people to notice and help.
Not tremendously different than someone who is suicidal and cries for help.
And, every message he got from those around him was basically, "meh, do what ya gotta do".
And it fricking sucks. Maybe the kid would have improved with help, instead of sinking into hopelessness and despair, he wouldn't be in prison for the rest of his life, and 17 people would still be alive.

At the minimum I am surprised a call like this does not prompt a visit from health services?

I would anticipate the municipal insurance coverage provider is having a mild heart attack today. How the hell are they going to defend against the lawsuits that are going to come - this appears to go well into reckless disregard territory.

Broward County and it’s 911 dispatch did a terrible job with the Cruz calls.
I’m sure the 911 center gets calls like this almost everyday. The county has a higher population than 14 states and DC.
Not making excuses for the department, but the county sheriffs department is not the only one at fault.
After the shooting it was “guns” fault, then FBI, then a deputy, and now the sheriffs department/911 dispatch. In the next week it will probably be something or someone else’s fault.
We should not let politics and MSM tell us who is at fault.
